  • You saved me $400. I want to thank you so much. I subscribed and rated.liked. You are a very good mechanic. Thank you very much man. Love and peace god bless/

  • @clanbozz Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube.

  • thanks alot for the videos, I need to do mine tommorow

  • You can use a metal coat hanger to hang the brake caliper. I "cheater bar" can be made from a piece of pipe instead of using a combo wrench. (If you have room, use the bar from the jack.) If you have a stubborn bolt/nut use a "rust buster" like PB Blaster. If that doesn't work apply heat via butane or acetylene torch. The heat will expand the metal and help loosen it. If you stripped the nut/bolt head, try hammering on a smaller socket.

  • Where were you 2 years ago. I paid $700 for such an easy job....

  • I can get the sensor as a hub again, because buying a new hub but it came without the ABS sensor, and another question is whether the right wheel sensor can be placed on the left side also. I say this because I have damaged the sensor on the right side but I have a new sensor on the left side, I can also install and official

  • I have 2003 pontiac grand prix 3.1l and need to know what size socket I need to remove my Hub nut?

  • I have ABS, on a 2005 G6, but there isn't a plug on the hub?!?!?

  • @EarthMother4You It sounds as though you have a hub for a non ABS system. The ABS one would have a provision for the sensor.

  • @1aauto I don't have the luxury of having a powerful enough compressor to remove the center nut with an impact gun. My 03 chevy blazer needed a 6 foot long piece of pipe metal extender to loosen it off. Fun times.

  • i wanted to thank you for posting this video. i was able to use it to figure out how to replace the wheel bearing hub on my chevy malibu

  • NOTE - Just did this on a 2007 Cadillac DTS - same part / procedure - the 3 bolts on the backside that actually hold the hub in that are removed in this video w/ a 3/8" drive were secured with RED LOCKTITE...so, you may want to have a propane torch handy...'cuz there is no way you are getting them out with a 3/8" drive otherwise...

  • @willfish4bucks Thanks for the info. You can always use a piece of metal pipe to give more leverage on the 3/8 handle, use a 1/2 inch to 3/8 adapter to put a larger handle, or both.

  • @1aauto - We tried both the 1/2" drive ratchet as well as the pipe / breaker bar method...3 hours later, we had 5 of the 6 bolts loosened...and had broken and replaced our ratchet...just throwing it out there as an alternative...

Great videos, by the way...plan on busting out the CV / Axle Shaft / Hub on my '99 Dakota on Saturday...

  • @willfish4bucks Thanks again, didn't mean to discount the torch advice it is good input. Good Luck!!

  • I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base model. It does not have abs but anywhere i looked for a replacement wheel hub the replacement part had a ABS sensor on it. Could i install that hub with ABS but just leave the wire sitting there not connected. will it still work?

  • @mental056 Really, I believe by 06 4Wheel ABS was standard? Regardless, yes you can bolt in the ABS hub and leave it unplugged.

  • what is the procedure to change the oil pump sensor chevy cavalier 95, 2.2 I see the sensor but it is right in the middle of the engine compartment. Which way top or bottom

  • @cupcake1556 I'd go from the bottom.

  • I was wondering if its a similar procedure for the replacing of the rear hub bearing?

  • @Duranguense22 Generally the rear is easier if your car has the integrated assembly. The rear is easier because you don't have to worry about the axle.

  • great diyer. with limited of tools.

  • Nice! Thanks for lowering the volume when using the air ratchet i had my volume all the way up.

  • Wow is that your living room?

  • @undertake782 LOL not my living room.

  • Awesome! Thanks!

  • @BillSpringer Glad to Help! If you need parts or info please visit our website or YouTube channel.

    Mike

  • Sure could use a breaker bar.

  • @tjohanson I won't disagree, I try to use tools and methods that most people will have. Not that a breaker bar is that uncommon.

    Mike

  • is this pretty close to a 2001 oldsmobile alero?

  • @mchlan92 Yes procedure is the same size of tools may be different.

  • do u have any vidoes on any accords

  • @tylerlevesque75 I'm doing a 95 which covers 94-97, hopefully get a 98-02 soon.

  • very good

  • I have seen only a couple of your videos now and I am impressed with the way you break things down and actually show step by step how to do something. The only thing I can say is get yourself a breaker bar or pipe to slip over wrench. I used to do the wrench on wrench deal and busted my hand too many times. Keep up the great work though!!!!

  • @fingerstylefan Thanks for the comments. Very good suggestions. In the videos I try to do things with more simple tools to show people that you can get the job done without specialty items. It is a good idea to show people how to create more leverage with a piece of pipe So you'll probably see that in a video coming up.

    Mike

  • would this preocedure work the same for a 2002 saturn the hub is the same setup

  • @mirandamary21 Yes the procedure will be about the same maybe different size tools and things like that.

  • tomorrow, im gonna replace the front left axle shaft and ball joints on both sides on my elantra, never done either before, but am confident in myself, im using this video to guide me, ill let you know how it went.

  • Good video man. Nice volume adjust on the air tool, those things are super noisy.
