I have a tendency to agree with you, but, being I like to play devil's advocate, if the dude WAS an alien, how would you know what he would or would not look like? Have you SEEN an alien in true form? It seems if his story is right that he's living among us to observe, he couldn't do that in his true form. The military would capture hm and he'd be being studied in some lock up. So, it stands to reason that there would be some kind of disguise utilized.
