  • silat is a form of indonision martial arts-the expression canges as the player changes=strength, age, compassion=these are always in flux (it's a mind set) every juru is a flow of certain aspect of this expression and very from juru to juru. in a fight , one uses a variation of what one has learned. its ones self expression of the art, the jurus are waring combinations.

  • Im a silat guy. I will vouch for this guy. Brilliant teachings remind me of cemande art.

  • We will be posting Pak Victor DeThours teaching Sifu Joseph at the K I Fighting Concepts in Wenatchee, WA in the late 1990. You can see for yourself what it all means.

  • Totally Awesome in every single way. I love the way you move.

  • Powerful

  • What amazes me is that everyone has a "different" juru

  • @silatyogi maybe it is "his" juru? have you ever heard of " hak diri"?

  • @Antimortem nothing wrong with this juru They way Guru Simonet performs it. Yes many can have different expressions.

  • Did you learn Paul's version?

  • no one in Pak Vic's current lineage does jurus 15 this way.

  • Is this the way Pak Vic does juru 15 or is this how you express it?

     thanks for sharing.

  • This is the way Pak Vic taught Serak Juru 15 to me in the late 1990's. However, I believe I do it with a little more power, precision, and focused intent.

    Joseph Simonet

  • I agree its better than I have seen it from their camp.
