  • the 42 people who hit the dislike button need to hang themselves seriously

  • Today was one of the worst days of my life. I forgot that for a second while listening. Thank you.

  • I saw "The Mummies" on you tube and they suck! They should crawl back into their pyramids. ... "Here Come the Mummies" are a million times better! And this is one of my favorite songs ... they are simply terrific!

  • Going on their Jump on my ship this Wednesday. I think they are awesome. So much going on in their shows.

  • Seen them awhile ago and they are GENIUS!!!!!

  • love these guys

  • man typing in pants and this comes up thought it was a joke but then found surprisingly good

  • You guys are AMAZING!!! Just saw you tonight! Thanks and hope to see you back in Wichita!

  • i'm comin in my pants!

  • Love this song. It just makes you want to get off ur ass and dance.

  • its my happy song

  • I wonder how many of them might be musicians or comedians who would be readily recognizable without the bandages. For instance, one of them could easily be Seth Green. :D

  • I love this band

  • the lead singer sounds like the wedding singer on old school and the hangover lol badass band love it

  • i dig it we all need some comic relief....the world is bleak...bring in the mummies!

  • 36 people never came in their pants

  • My favorite song by them. and once u hear it it nevers goes away

  • Awe. They are coming to my campus to perform.

  • Who dislikes this?

    Seriously.

  • LOL! Awesome band! Love it!

  • just saw them alive at iowa state fair... thinking their amazing and i just found out about them about 2 week ago. decide to check it out and surprise see the stages are packed about 3000-4000. it was fun and good beat for deaf people like me. ill love to watch them again... funny and fun.

  • @wackotaggy You're completely deaf but still able to feel the beat? Are there any other ways you find to enjoy music without hearing? I'm just curious :)

  • outstanding!! whats the schedule chicago??

  • This guys vocals are crazy bad ass live !

  • OH OH OOOH!!

  • I just ejaculated... In mah pants

  • ...groove crunchy like chunky peanut butter

  • ANYONE WHO DOESNT LIKE THIS VIDEO I WILL PERSONALLY COME FIND YOU AND KICK YUR ASS TIL YOU LIKE THE FUCKIN SONG BLACK GUT OUT!

  • 33 people didn't come in their pants.

  • They played this at Summerfest in Milwaukee!! They kick ass in person!!

  • great song least they will never have to worry about running out of toilet paper

  • saw you guys live in indy, best show ever

  • Java's that shit! :D

  • This band is too good for just double etendre music. I like sexual innuendo songs but this is just too much talent to not branch out into more serious song making and usually i don't like bands with horns. When a band can make me love horns then you know they must have it. I love the 70's funk parts too.

  • @sexydarin1

The rumour is that a great deal of Here comem the mummies mare grammy mwinning and nominated artist from nashvillle, so all this is done for the love of being awsome

  • @sexydarin1 If want one of their more serious songs, then you should listen to "Wound Up Together", or

    "Boom Boom Room"

  • Killer band!

  • I like the mummy with the bloody nipples.

  • damn these guys are amazing

  • man these people are awesome how am I only just discovering this

  • Just seen them last weekend in Columbus......it was fucking amazing

  • Saw them at Wakarusa yesterday, DAMN GOOD LIVE SHOW!!!!!!!!

  • This band is pure greatness. Entertaining as hell and superb musicianship!

  • I hate hearing those booth-monkeys laugh during funny songs. Let me hear it without your stupid chuckling, dammit! Let ME judge what's funny and what's not!

  • @ignatiusd The thing IS... that the band wanted it that way! ! !

  • These Guys are great & have incredible Talent, plus they put on one heck of a "Live Show" serious entertainment....Being a Music Man myself just listen to their voices

and you can get a pretty good idea who they are...The Voice is the 1 thing you can't disguise....A Mummy Fan

  • @ColtyRamone There WAS a punk band named The Mummies that broke up in 92. HCTM was founded in 2000, and hadn't heard of their bandage-bearing predecessors until years later. The "Mummy" gimmick exists to conceal the members' identities and avoid various Contractual Issues.

And HCTM is an amazingly talented band. Get over it.

  • @mstorer3772 youre much smarter than me because of all your thumbs up. much smarter.

  • @ColtyRamone At last we can agree on something. I think (with my superior intellect) that this will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity between our two peoples. In the distant, utopian future all humanity will look back on this moment and say "whew, its a good thing that mstorer3772 guy wouldn't know sarcasm if it bit him in the ass."

  • @mstorer3772 weve done humanity a huge favor.

  • @RisenDevilz sorry.... misread who said what. LOL my bad... you are correct and the rest of my post is accurate.... Appologies for jumping the gun. lol

  • @mstorer3772 Also, "The Mummies" sucked, and "Here Come the Mummies" kick ass.

  • @mstorer3772 they still are a crappy band

  • @perverts594 Have you actually listened to any of their music, or are you just spewing Punk Rage?

Given the metric fuck-tons of talent, stage presence, and general awesome they display in each and every video, I'm inclined to believe the latter.

  • @mstorer3772 I'm not a "punk" nor do I rage. Yes I have listened to most of their music,And from what I can tell its pretty lame.

  • @ColtyRamone really? REALLY? because im pretty sure punk and funk are two entirely different, if similarly rooted, genres. before you speak, remember to make sure you engaged your brain fully. no one likes grinding gears asshat. also, see @mstorer3772 's comment

  • would be more enjoyable if we didnt have to listen to BoB and Tom and crew laughin over the songs

  • @Owuryn I believe they do that intentionally, so that the recordings of the song from the radio aren't as attractive to pirates. You can hear other DJ's coughing, or sneezing, or shouting out encouragement a lot during live performances, probably for the same reason. Bob and Tom tend to laugh constantly during stuff like this, even if the material isn't super comedic.

  • @CardboardBrain Rip off of who?

  • @paolo6687

He probably thinks they are ripping off Tower Of Power! West coast R&B is what it is whoever is playing it. I personally think they have a cool motif goin on!

  • This is going to be my wedding song

  • @thepissedoffpotato hahahahahahaha

  • @thepissedoffpotato NO ONE else like his comment....it's on 69, leave it that way

  • Some of them remind me of a band called Johnny Socko from a while back....same great energy. hmmmm I wonder.......

  • wow...these guys cook!...the whole arrangement is really tight...they've got to be awesome live

  • @ecupirate79 They ARE awesome live. They just did their 2nd annual Festival of Funk consert in Punta Gorda, Florida, Indescribable! A definate must see especially at onlt $15 for tickets...all that's left to say is WOW!!!!

  • @ecupirate79 .......considering this WAS a live performance, I would have to agree with you!

  • Mummy Cass is Eric Clapton.

  • @nastehno2397 Just curious, what gives you that idea?

  • THE GREATEST BAND IN THE UNIVERSE!! CLASSIC!!!

  • these guys are awesome

  • See these guys live..One of the best shows....Almost two hours non stop.

  • This is the most entertaining band that I have ever been to see....... and btw Bobby..... I like Punk too, and the original Mummies suck.......for every band like the Pogues, the Stooges, or the Street Kings, there are 20 bands like that

  • @bobbydowns I don't have your experience in music, however, I am a fan of almost every kind of music and have been to hundreds of live music concerts.... I defy you name any 2 late nineties pop bands that are anything like this band....Groups like No Doubt are ska bands and not at all like this.... this is a funk band very similar in nature to Parliment Funkadelic......and having seen both live, I will tell you that this band is tighter, although George is a great writer....

  • @TheRealDonSchuler

    Engage 1000% Hipster mode >.>

  • Can't wait for Thursday night in Orlando

  • @bobby: No offense man, but how do the Dandy Warhols, or The Gories advance civilization?? Music has cross the median from "Advancing Civilization" to "Entertainment". If you take the lyrics out of this song, you'd have several very tight musicians. I'm one of those "Americans under 30"...and fortunately enough for me, "Like" doesn't get used very often...

  • Watched this at least 10 times today!

  • these guys were on bob and tom again this morning, they played this song which brings me here, this is fucking EPIC.

  • This song is catchy

  • @ExoticTOfuModdb YOU SUCK

  • GOING TO SEE THEM THIS WEEKEND!!!!!! Sat. at Irving plaza in NYC! awesome.

  • Finally, schitcky mediocrity to fill the void that Sugar Ray left in the hearts of boring white people

  • @bobbydowns And your a lame musically uneducated none white person... We don't rip on your race, just you, so stop listening to shit and go learn to appreciate awesome music.

  • @TheSinisterOne725 My degree was in music, actually. And I'm white. The problem is A) this sounds like trite late 90's pop and B) overlaps a little too much with the aesthetics of a band that established itself in the early 90's, which also leads me to believe their suspiciously long name likely was chosen to avoid lawsuits. Also, thank you: the irony of calling me uneducated yet using an improper form of "your/you're" was not lost on me.

  • @bobbydowns Not to bash you and your musically educated self but this is hardly late 90's pop. However I do agree that the sound is a bit too generic for a band that is trying to go for originality. Despite this it still has funny lyrics and still sounds good. and What band in the early 90's are you talking about.

  • @ninjasan11 hint: google + mummies + band

  • @bobbydowns

Why don't you look up Here Come the Mummies Wikipedia page?

You could learn alot with a little research. Try it next time, instead of pulling your COMPLETELY ORIGINAL (Saracasm) accusation out of your ass.

  • @Criticsem OK, I do, and they started 12 years after The Mummies. What the fuck dumb point are you trying to make? If it's about they're claim that they were ignorant of the original band, how many bands do you know that have had to address their similarity to another band and have a section dedicated to that aspect in their wikipedia bio? This is the first I've seen. Is that not fishy? Are we not men?

  • Anywho, my main point is that this band is boring. Clearly lots of people disagree, but clearly there are too many people that are also boring. My offense taken at mediocrity is that it has an insidiousness that makes it far worse than anything solidly shitty; it is good enough to propagate, but not good enough to advance civilization. It's filler. It's the part of the sausage you eat that you don't want to know about. It's how every American under 30 says "like" every third word.

  • @bobbydowns Wow aren't we full of ourselves. As a 39 year old lawyer, who played trumpet since 4th grade and was played trumpet at college, I would have to say get over yourself. Dude, this is a fun bad with solid, talented musicians. Not everything needs to be taken so serious. Jesus dude it's not like they are saying they are Beethoven they dress up like mummies and play funk!?!?! Once you move out of the dorms and enter the real world you will learn (hopefully to appreciate a good time.

  • @mackeaveli I'm not going to get fully into a pissing contest (congrats on your many achievements, though; glad to see you're over yourself, wink), but I'm in my 30s, have played many instruments, and have had jobs; not a college student. Maybe your 401k and my 403b can duke it out sometime.

For fans of "a good time" you all take internets pretty serious. Mine seem to be the only negative comments that haven't been thumbs downed into oblivion or marked as spam. Thanks.

  • @bobbydowns Hint: you're a troll

  • Wow this was insanely coincidental. I live in Eugene and just randomly stumbled on this page.. I hate the fucking Bob and Tom show.

  • I SEEN them? Really? In this day and age? ; ) Gotta be hot in those get-ups...love the funk !

  • I seen them last night in St. Louis! The Greatest Show on Earth!

  • Ha Ha Ha, First time seeing them:)......Peace all

  • Different in a good way. Very catchy.

  • I hate Bob and Tom...that fake laughter...

  • I hate Bob and Tom...that fake laughter...

  • I WANT TO KNOW WHO FREAKIN DISLIKED THIS! I WILL MURDER YOU!

(not really) BUT STILL WHO DID?????

  • Can't wait to see these guys this summer.

  • THESE GUYS ROCK

  • Another Sound we will still like in 50 years.

  • love it love it love it. so fresh!

  • they cop nash the slash's thingee?

  • @tertommy What does that even mean?

  • @snoopmon google images for nash the slash 1970's prog rock musician

  • @TheSlyther we have a group coming from N.O. for this show. Can't wait!

  • Coming to Nashville, Feb 11th.

  • these guys fucking rip.

  • I love it .This is very nice song

  • Not bad. Reminds me acoustically of Was Not Was.

  • Most excellent benaughty lady "benaughtyman.info"

  • these guys came to my town in muskegon michigan last summer the show was awesome, strangly enough they openned for ludacris

  • 25 people came too soon...

  • Slipknot's lyrics are really vulgar these days.

  • Man guys....What a sound...Love it but do you make anything I can share online..Love the horns..TIGHT!! Hubby was a horn man ..reminds me of the sound he use to have...want to hear more...but clean...

  • Mummies*

  • First of all who cares about "the dummies"? Different band, different name, different sound get over it and second of all they are hilarious and they are awesome so quit dissin'

  • @NATEUPYOURS As a matter of fact... several members of this band, used to be in "the mummies," and when they broke up, they started a new band, but one member wasn't gonna join them, and said that they couldn't use the name, for some Copyright bullshit... Just a random fact xD

  • All that forced laughing is giving me a headache. There's no way that pathetic joke is funny EVERY time!

  • I've been around the block enough times to realize that the innuendos and entendres are the central theme the Mummies' act. I I'm just saying that their musicianship is absolutely amazing but I can't exactly play this stuff with my kids in the car. Such a waste, because their music puts me in such an upbeat mood. I would just be satisfied knowing who these guys are so I can check out their "day job" music, but I also know why they have to keep their identies secret.

  • @Harmonyanddiscord That's a big thumbs up! I think they have an acute form of Turrets Syndrome that causes them to laugh at the drop of a hat instead of screaming out cuss words. But that's their job, to giggle their way into your heart!

  • luv it

  • Yeah AR485, it's talking about going to see a girl and he is coming in his pants, a neck tie, etc. and he's going to blow a wad of money on taking her out. That's like saying The Assumption Song by The Arrogant Worms is dirty. It's all about perception.

  • @Achilles41590 .It's all about innuendo and double entendre...that's their hook...luv it

  • @akagore indeed. nice wordplay :-)

  • @Achilles41590 Id like to give you a hook...luv it

  • Google the lyrics and read them. They are clean - where is your mind?

  • I'd like to see them make clean lyric versions of these songs. The music is so good!

  • @AR485 ummmm...the songs would just be songs than...these guys make their living doing this kind of music with all the sexual innuendo...nobody would come to the shows or listen to them...I wouldn't... DON'T CHANGE A THING MUMMIES!!

  • @akagore Actually, this isn't their day job...it's their hobby. These guys are professional recording musicians who live in Nashville. Their day job is playing with big artists on platinum albums and receiving grammys. So, they do this for fun.

  • I heard this on the radio in Indiana

  • heard this on the radio when they did it.....and loved it....also 23 people must have not came in their pants when they listened to this song......

  • I came in my pants once. It wasn't pretty.... They were dirty from working all day!

  • their a lil gayer than i thought they would be.i thought they did rock music, not jazzy like ghostbusters type music lol. but to each his own i guess

  • @southweststrangla420 their jazz music is amazing... how is this gay? its entertaining and great.

  • Columbus Ohio Dec. 4th, Newport music hall 7pm

  • will be there, can't wait to see them...they are so talented...and so cute!!

  • these guys are awesome!!! I have only seen them on the Bob and Tom show, but I would love to see them in person...love their crazy costumes...and talk about talent....they are fantastic....they have really turned this old woman into a Mummy lover!!! wish they would come to Columbus. Ohio!!!!

  • NYR682 is right - do NOT confuse these guys with that horrible 1990's punk band called The Mummies. This band is out of Nashville,TN and has been together about 10 years now. I had the privilege of working security for them, they are really funny and personable backstage and out of costume. Great group of guys !!! I'm going to see them in Covington,KY and Horseshoe Casino in the next few months, I can't wait !!!

  • These guys are great!!!! Can't wait to see them somewhere.

  • The Mummies are a shitty, unskilled punk band. These guys are fantastic musicians.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • damn good song. damn good band

  • GREAT band!!! With or without the wraps, they are tight, clever and funky. Perfect!!! Great post!!! Thank you very much for sharing this awesome band with us!
