  • I would love to hear "At Peace With The World" if you have it!!

  • @TheGen328 I do have that. I have a large collection of organ music by Jesse, Milton Charles, Lew White and many others. Thanks for watching

  • @pax41 I hope you'll create videos for more of the great vintage organists! I love that stuff and it's hard to find much of it on CD!

  • @LongChainCharlie Charlie did you listen to my new organ post from yesterday? It has 4 songs by 4 different organists on it. I have a bunch of these organ records. I was working on another R. Dixon transfer yesterday.

  • I definatly want to start a 20s bar/club now.

  • @bluesbotshuffle That's a great idea! In fact you could even have a few nights out of the month (week?) be a 20's dress code w/ free drinks, Charleston contests. You could show old silent films and have an organist play to them, not all theater organ music has to be loud. If money or space is an issue you could even use a nice Conn 650, a Gulbransen Rialto or Rialto II. Right now there is an Aeolian Duo player pipe organ for sale on Cincinnati Ohio craigslist.

    The 20's 8yrs away

  • Although primarily remembered today as a ballad organist, his rhythm playing had a clean crispness that's matched by only a few of today's performers, as well as an awsome ability to arrange.

    Thanks for posting!

  • I listened to this recording about 3 times this morning -- really beautiful. Jesse Crawford was a brilliant talent! I would have loved to have heard him (and his wife Helen) at the NY Paramount. They were he house organists at the Paramount in the early 30's.

  • @bigcity233 Yes, that would have been a treat for the ears. Glad you are enjoying my organ posts, many more to come.

  • This is one of my all time favorites that Jesse played. Thanks

  • Before Jim Riggs there was Jim Roseveare, organist at the Oakland Paramount, who played this -- wonderful song & wonderful rendition! Thank you.

  • Wow Jim Riggs recreates it exactly.

  • Wish I could find the sheet music to this.

  • Did you check ebay?

  • @almeisam It's not a tough one to transcribe.

  • This has always been a favourite of mine. A great rendition.

  • 5 - Stars to anyone who could play these"monsters" with such ease .....

  • Hello Bob,

Thanks for the wonderfully clean recording, and keeping

    the Jesse Crawford posts coming.

  • Jesse was the best and I just like every thing he performed. You are very welcome Gunnor and thanks for stopping in.
