@LongChainCharlie Charlie did you listen to my new organ post from yesterday? It has 4 songs by 4 different organists on it. I have a bunch of these organ records. I was working on another R. Dixon transfer yesterday.
@bluesbotshuffle That's a great idea! In fact you could even have a few nights out of the month (week?) be a 20's dress code w/ free drinks, Charleston contests. You could show old silent films and have an organist play to them, not all theater organ music has to be loud. If money or space is an issue you could even use a nice Conn 650, a Gulbransen Rialto or Rialto II. Right now there is an Aeolian Duo player pipe organ for sale on Cincinnati Ohio craigslist.
Although primarily remembered today as a ballad organist, his rhythm playing had a clean crispness that's matched by only a few of today's performers, as well as an awsome ability to arrange.
I listened to this recording about 3 times this morning -- really beautiful. Jesse Crawford was a brilliant talent! I would have loved to have heard him (and his wife Helen) at the NY Paramount. They were he house organists at the Paramount in the early 30's.
I would love to hear "At Peace With The World" if you have it!!

@TheGen328 I do have that. I have a large collection of organ music by Jesse, Milton Charles, Lew White and many others. Thanks for watching

@pax41 I hope you'll create videos for more of the great vintage organists! I love that stuff and it's hard to find much of it on CD!

Before Jim Riggs there was Jim Roseveare, organist at the Oakland Paramount, who played this -- wonderful song & wonderful rendition! Thank you.
