  • ...and he calls IDPA boring?

  • I think you forgot rim-fire rifle.

  • @tm510 - The Steel Challenge hasn't run continuously over the last 30 years, so the 70's is in fact correct.

  • A+ vid, great job. Thanks

  • I highly encourage everyone to try shooting "Steel Challenge" or one of it's derivatives. It is a great way to get your feet wet with competition and you can go as hard core as you want. I also suggest not going as fast as you can the first few times out. Build consistency in your times first and then work on speeding up. I have found that you will typically progress faster that way. I am by far an expert, but have enticed many new shooters into this sport this way. ;)

  • Good video Caleb. Makes me want to try it.

  • 5 targets x 5 reps x 8 stages = 200 rounds, if you dont miss...

  • How many rounds is a typical steel challenge match?

  • @joey0870 You shoot each of the five stages with five targets five times. If you don't miss at all then that's 125 rounds. Typically 150 or so rounds will do for an average shooter. If you are just starting out then bring a few more. What you don't use at that match you can use at the next one.

  • The last steel challenge was the 30th anniversary ....lets see 2011 - 30 ?

    1981 do your research ..........
