I think that the JW's focus on the whole Jesus is the son thing because it is argued so much but they dont focus on all the other facts uncovered in this video and others. They ignore all the documented evidence of false teachings and just focus on the jesus is son thing. Thats rediculous!!!
As frequently happens, this series makes some good observations, and some very bad observations. The important thing in studying the Bible, is to do it USING YOUR VERY OWN JUDGEMENT. The JW's are weak that way. They don't value independent study enough. But then, much of the mainstream churches also do not value independent thought very much. Therefore they come up with doctrines like the trinity, and ever burning hell. These are travesties, and dishonour God.
A better way to conduct this kind of investigative discussion would be through a secular scope. The Watchtower certainly diverges scholarly and popular accounts of Christian dogma and the NWT is farcical, but using one belief system of top-down causality as a grapple point to dissect another such-same system amounts to nothing substantive. 'Cult' is almost an epithet, and Jehovah's Witnesses of each generation quickly become desensitized to it. The organization is a totalitarian sect.

This is the only scripture in the Bible that talks about one faith one God and one Baptism. No where in the Bible does it imply or state "holy ghost or holy spirit" for that which most people hinge there faith in the Trinity or Tri - Une god. The word Trinity isn't even in the Bible. @shihtzufizzers First of all the fruit of false prophets are false prophecies. You are reading something into Matthew 7 that is not there at all and is totally unrelated to the passage. This is called eisogesis. Galations 5:22-23 is referring to the fruit of the spirit, which is in no way connected to the fruit of a prophet. This is just an example of the way "cults" misread scripture. 2 Peter 3:15-16 describes this error very well. The Watchtower is infamous for reading verses out of context

This comes directly out of your own New World Translation I might add, so there can be no disputing the verse. Tell me how can an impersonal force speak ?

The personification used concerning "wisdom",is very common with Hebrew poetry. There is absolutely nothing Messianic in this part of scripture. The Watchtower insists that this passage is a direct reference to Christ,and yet when the Holy Spirit is referred to in numerous new testament passages, they insist that they are figurative
@shihtzufizzers For your information the passage you referred to Luke 7:35, is a parable spoken by Jesus referring to the generation in Jesus day. He spoke of John the Baptist and Himself and the generation's refusal to believe their gospel message. If you read in context the entire passage verse 31 explains the fact fact that Jesus was speaking a parable about the generation and their stubborness. He is referring to unbelievers and the wise children spoken of in verse 35 were the believers.

@BlueRosa7 I think you are the one who needs to look up the definition of a cult. The WTS totally fit the bill. Totalitarian, Authoritarian, to question them is heavily discouraged, even punished. They lay strong focus on recruiting others, discourage association with non members, even if they are close family, they offer an exclusive system to cure the world's ills, salvation is only possible through the group, those who leave are doomed. These are all cult criteria, and there are many more.

Nowhere are we told in Scripture to trust in any organization for our salvation. Call on Jesus now, the one who has the only name under heaven in which salvation is found (Acts 4:12). Please don't be deceived by a Bible translation which inserts and removes words without Greek justification for the support of fabricated doctrines produced by a Bible-defined false prophet.

@amalangelraj As far as the organization is concerned this is apostate information and as a follower of the organization you are not permited to listen or read nor watch any information that disproves or trys to disprove the organization. So if your a follower of that religion then you have to abide by all there rules not just the ones that suit you. If you choose to follow what suits you then your not part of that organization.

@amalangelraj The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is the Teacher (Jn 14:26), NOT the Jehovah's Witnesses. So far, the Bible has been found inerrant. The same cannot be said for the Watchtower.

@amalangelraj Studying the bible with a JW isn't studying the bible, its studying what the WTS tells them the bible says. Yes JW can quote scripture, I know I can, but once I actually READ the bible, it was like whoa. I lost my faith with Deut 18:22, WTS says they are not inspired prophets. Ok then why did they change the INSPIRED word of God? Rev 22; 18-19. I started putting other false prophets tests from the bible to the WTS test, they failed. Jehovah tells me, I need not be afraid. I'm not.

The JW's New World Translation has been carefully edited to show that Jesus Christ isn't God and the Trinity does not exist. The King James Version clearly says that Jesus is God and that God is a triune God. Only one can be correct............All of the 5000 plus Greek New Testament manuscripts agree with the King James version. The JW organization is false.

Anyone, even JWs, puts their trust in man, especially man made organizations, they become cursed by God for trusting in man rather than trusting in God for their salvation.

As frequently happens, this series makes some good observations, and some very bad observations. The important thing in studying the Bible, is to do it USING YOUR VERY OWN JUDGEMENT. The JW's are weak that way. They don't value independent study enough. But then, much of the mainstream churches also do not value independent thought very much. Therefore they come up with doctrines like the trinity, and ever burning hell. These are travesties, and dishonour God.

A better way to conduct this kind of investigative discussion would be through a secular scope. The Watchtower certainly diverges scholarly and popular accounts of Christian dogma and the NWT is farcical, but using one belief system of top-down causality as a grapple point to dissect another such-same system amounts to nothing substantive. 'Cult' is almost an epithet, and Jehovah's Witnesses of each generation quickly become desensitized to it. The organization is a totalitarian sect.

This is the only scripture in the Bible that talks about one faith one God and one Baptism. No where in the Bible does it imply or state "holy ghost or holy spirit" for that which most people hinge there faith in the Trinity or Tri - Une god. The word Trinity isn't even in the Bible. @ladivadivala Read Exodus 3:14&15 It's Jehovah that's speaking to Moses. He tells Moses to tell the Israelites that "I AM hath sent me unto you". From that time Jehovah is known as "I AM". Now read John 8:56-59. Jesus said: "before Abraham was, I am", telling them He was "I AM" of the Old Testament. The Jews knew exactly what Jesus was referring to and wanted to stone Him for blasphemy. Someday you'll know the truth.

Second my father is a ministeral servant.. they do not make nearly the amount of other churches, the Mormons give 10% of there income. Catholics feel obligated to care for the Pope ect. JW only are asked to give if they can. No demands. Ever go to New York and visit Bethel? No rich people there, just happy ones

But that is OK. But we try to follow Jesus footsteps closely, by living humbley, keep our eye simple (in Matthew) don't get wrapped up in ones showy way of life. I know how much money comes in and it goes to helping others learn the truth. Not to making images, & paying to preach.

@shihtzufizzers First of all the fruit of false prophets are false prophecies. You are reading something into Matthew 7 that is not there at all and is totally unrelated to the passage. This is called eisogesis. Galations 5:22-23 is referring to the fruit of the spirit, which is in no way connected to the fruit of a prophet. This is just an example of the way "cults" misread scripture. 2 Peter 3:15-16 describes this error very well. The Watchtower is infamous for reading verses out of context

"In other words the truth is not getting truer"(THIS WOULD BE RIDICULOUS), it is referring to the righteous verses the wicked. Maybe you should read the next verse. It describes the path that JW's are on.

@shihtzufizzers The problem is that JW's are not only uneducated, they lack the Holy Spirit, who they deny the identity of, saying that He is an unintelligent force as the December 8th 1973 Awake magazine claimed. Jesus tells us in John 16:13 that "he will guide you in all the truth, for he will not speak of his own impulse ". This comes directly out of your own New World Translation I might add, so there can be no disputing the verse. Tell me how can an impersonal force speak ?

@shihtzufizzers actually reffering to your comment about jws having decent education rates thats not true. They have one of the lowest graduation rates in all the denominations of america.

@fedupalready19 cont Jesus refers the HS as a helper, teach us bear witness. (john 14:16,26) In luke 7:35 wisdom is said to have children. Rom 5:14,21 sin and death are as kings. When said the spirit spoke it was done thru angels or humans. See. not something physical. We know wisdom doesn't literaly have kids, and a phycial king is not death and sin. But as jesus says it is our helper

@shihtzufizzers Interesting point, but very puzzling. You are saying that one should conclude that the Holy Spirit is figurative, however the Watchtower interprets wisdom spoken of in Proverbs 8:24 to be in fact a literal interpretation of Jesus. How do you explain this ?

@shihtzufizzers Getting back to Proverbs 8:22-31, where the Watchtower claims wisdom is literally Jesus Christ. If this is true then who is this person shrewdness that Jesus resides with Proverbs 8:12 and why in verse 3 is Jesus referred to as an 'it" who crys out ?See your explanation earlier concerning the Holy Spirit being just an impersonal force has many problems. Just another example of Watchtowers fractured exegesis. For the record when I said uneducated I was referring to bible knowledge

@fedupalready19 Great point. The entire first 9 chapters of Proverbs are about wisdom personified. Proverbs itself is one of the poetic books of the old testament. The personification used concerning "wisdom",is very common with Hebrew poetry. There is absolutely nothing Messianic in this part of scripture. The Watchtower insists that this passage is a direct reference to Christ,and yet when the Holy Spirit is referred to in numerous new testament passages, they insist that they are figurative

@shihtzufizzers For your information the passage you referred to Luke 7:35, is a parable spoken by Jesus referring to the generation in Jesus day. He spoke of John the Baptist and Himself and the generation's refusal to believe their gospel message. If you read in context the entire passage verse 31 explains the fact fact that Jesus was speaking a parable about the generation and their stubborness. He is referring to unbelievers and the wise children spoken of in verse 35 were the believers.

The bright light will get lighter until the day is firmly established. Sounds like we will keep learning until Gods day is here. New information to uphold his Truth. Gods word does not change,just the understanding of it. for when the time is right he lets us know what we need to know.

My friend quit the Jws cuz she said she was molested by him.( did jesus molest while he was preaching?). Making statues and paintings is fine dude.. if youd read the real bible christianity have been using for 2 millenia ud know that. Jws believe a select few(144k) will go to heaven, guess you arent worthy.

These verses won't hold any weight for JW's, but if there is a Christian who seems to be shakey about the Trinity after hearing a witness, show them this.

The fountain of living Waters is the Holy Spirit, John 7:38-39. Jehovah and the Holy Spirit are the same.
The Holy Spirit spoke through the prophets, II Pet. 1:20-21
The Spirit of Christ spoke through the prophets, I Pet. 1:10-11. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same.

@BlueRosa7 I think you are the one who needs to look up the definition of a cult. The WTS totally fit the bill. Totalitarian, Authoritarian, to question them is heavily discouraged, even punished. They lay strong focus on recruiting others, discourage association with non members, even if they are close family, they offer an exclusive system to cure the world's ills, salvation is only possible through the group, those who leave are doomed. These are all cult criteria, and there are many more.
