From my experience most Turks are only "culturally" Muslim, this is reflected in Pews polling of Muslims where there is hardly any support for Islamic punishments for "crimes" in Turkey compared to other Muslim majority countries.

The trade was officially stopped by the 1870s. Lets use Inikoris number of some 10-15 million taken in 400 yrs with a moratlity of lets say 25%. Compare that with Islamic slavery from 640 AD in Africa, Asia and Europe which still continues today. Indeed the African slave trade was carried on by Muslims long before.

Muslim Turks? Mufti? Ok listen, I think you got something wrong here. You're talking like Arab "Muslim" leaders act in favor of Islam... Which is basically wrong. Turks ruled over many Muslim/Arab territories, and treated them like crap. By that, I mean torturing, emprisonment without trial for no reason, execution for no reason, etc. Yet they did it on Muslims! Whatever you chose to believe they declared there is no God but Allah and Mohamet was his prophet..therego I say Muslim. Sunnis Kill Shi'ite and vice-versa, who is the real Muslim? Fact is that Islam like all made up bullshit, including Christianity and Judaism, demonstrates the same weakness of the human mind while claiming divine sanction. I have always wondered who then represents Islam because every one has their own views on what the magic books say. And yes I said mujee, look it up........

Lets also say that we have no 7/7, 911 or Mumbai killings in recent memory carried out by non-Muslims. Death wishes over a cartoon of a dead man and books about Islamic myths. Who else does that? Plus I realise you heard about the Moors in Spain because you never talk about their enslaving Africans there as well as enslaving Christians and Jews and forcing them to pay taxes to live on their own lands. Thats thuggery and theivery.

They did'nt enslave them... Most Jews & Christians were normal citizens who lived normal lives, but had to pay additionnal taxes. That's better than hanging or torturing, that the Christians imposed to the Jews & Muslims. Slavery, according to Islam is not based on the color of the skin, but on the fact that these slaves are war slaves.

lets ignore the fact that Islam even condones slavery except for Muslims however they are determined. The Moors did enslave Christians and Jews, prisoners or not, and in fact a lot were women and children bought from Christians. Moreover they traded in Africans from all parts who had had no war with them. You justify that by what exactly? Many Muslim scholars had actually used race a the main factor in who should be enslaved. I can never take you ignorant liars seriously. mujee

Mujee? lol wow... I still don't know what that means... But I'm aware that slavery was in fact common, however from what I've read in different books on Islam, it was in fact permitted, but you had to treat your slaves right. You could'nt just crack the whip on them. So... I guess that all people on earth that were in Europe or in the Middle-East did in fact practice slavery, but I am pretty sure that the Muslims treated their slaves nicer than their Christian comrades...
