These boys didn't need to jump around on stage like Van Halen, or have fancy electronics like Pink Floyd, or swish around on stage like The Stones or even sing about black magic like Sabbath, these were some good ol' boys who were regular people, good friends who liked to jam out together and share their magic with their fans, liked they said, Nuthin' fancy.. We miss ya guys!
I don't know why people keep calling this tune underrated, it wasn't. The entire Second Helpin' album was totally the shit all the way around. It was just hard to decide which tune was the best on this album. For most, their first album it was Free Bird, but I liked Poison Whiskey better. Doesn't make Poison Whiskey underrated though...No trolling here, just my opinion, we all got 'em..Carry on..
The original LS was a great band. The plane crash really hurt me. Then many variations came along and now Ronnie has put things pretty much back in order. Of course those plane crashes have taken some good folks from us.
@sgtdarkness1 You've certainly hit the nail on the head , Sarge. We've lost a lot of the good ones in plane crashes and in other ways. I have felt the same hurt, my friend. Evidently these were artists that made an impact on our lives in one way or another. May each one of them rest in peace. You're a good friend, Sarge. We share a lot of the same interests and feelings, my friend. Peace, Jerry
''simple man'' or ''I need you''? please help me! I love these songs but when I travel, I hear constantly......''free bird'' or ''highway song'', blackfoot.

One of the most under-rated Skynyrd songs. Love that one.
