something you might want to do...don't know how big your flashlight but if you wrap several layers of duck tape around your flashlight, not only will you have duck tape, but if you need to put the flash light in your mouth when riding a bike or freeing your hands it'll be easier on your teeth. :) i got that out of a book, can't take credit for Cody Lundin's tip.

Hand cuffs are the dumbest things I have ever seen in a survival kit, useless weight.

@AndrewKolb101 They are definitely extra weight, but not useless in the event that you need to detain someone instead of killing them. I'd opt for zip-ties instead, though. Much lighter and more useful for other applications.

P.S. Also you might want to get a magnesium flint bar to start fire. Paper matches kind of suck.

...Put some extra cloths or and/or a jacket (No cotton). Put some tampons in your kit!! Also pads are good because they can be used as bandages with duck tape if you have a bad injury. By the way the bike route map is awesome! Get a compass and learn how to use it to go with your map. Loose 2 of those flashlights! Keep the better one, and if you want to carry two lights get a wind up one so it doesn’t need batteries.

Good Start, just wanted to give you a few tips. You need a Container to carry and purify (boil) water in. Get a 32 to 40 Oz. stainless steel water bottle with as large a mouth on it that you can find. Also 4 to 5 drops Plain Bleach per US Quart (32 Oz) will disinfect water. Go to that surplus store and get 50 ft. of 550 parachute cord ( rope ) make sure it has 7 strands inside of it. Get a tarp so you have shelter.......

No offense intended but I hope you have a Gun or a Guy that would be with you to use with those cuffs....

No insinuation implied other than....It's not likely a Guy would allow you to cuff him if he was after your rations or "trying to get fresh".

Good video. To save weight I would get rid of the handcuffs and replace them with zap straps (not sure if that's the right name but what's what we called them in the army). You can attach two together and work just as well. As well they can be a little easier to get on someone with one hand.

Awesome! not that many girls out there who have a b.o.b. I was feeling lonely...

Hope you don't mind if I suggest a few things:

Toilet paper roll, for obvious reasons

Feminine monthly items, if you catch my meaning

1stainless water bottle, so you have something to refill when those little bags go out.

Upgrading your First Aid kit, since it is missing important items

Spare of clothes

Jacket or parka

You could replace those cuffs with nylon rope: more uses and lighter weight!

Not to hate, but, a good idea is to add a larger knife. It could act for larger tasks and be a back up to yours. If you want a Cheap one, you can go to Ebay and Search Survival Knife Free Shipping, then click the Buy it now option. It has some pretty cheap but good survival knifes around 12 inches long. My friend bought one recently, works terrific. But, Good Luck on your kit and have a Good Year!! ~Matt

I've been meaning to do an updated Bug Out Bag video since it's been a full 9 months since my last I have a lot more stuff... But as far as 12 inches long... hmmm I will have to measure it!!! Hi there!

If you havent already i would add a small tarp for shelter and 50ft of paracord.

Also a firesteel if youre zippo stops working.

and i can realy recomend the coldsteel shovel, its sharp so you can use it for shopping, digging, selfdefence, carving and then some. its about 15dollars.

i cant see the use of the handcuffs if you dont know what youre doing, i would run and if thats not an option, use youre shovel.

search youtube for coldsteel shovel an you will see what that badboy can do.

Fair bit of kit. Ditch the hand cuffs. They are unnecessary weight that the larger zip ties in your other video will care for. Another thing you might want to change is the lighter. Go for a cheap Bic. If you want wrap it and your matches in old bicycle intertube pieces and can help start a fire. Above all get a better knife. A Kabar Dozier is less than $20 and 10 times what you have. If nothing else get a good paring knife.

Im in the process of putting one of these kits together for my wife, and I did things pretty much the same. Instead of the entire first aid kit, I gave her 5 or 6 surgipads from Johnson and Johnson, some tape and band aids. I also got her own dedicated survival knife. I also included some (50-75) feet of paracord. Also included is a 1lb bag of rice, with enough food for 2 days. I also included her own set of water purification tablets.Lemme know if you have any questions Id be happy to help!

@woohog1 just remember two is one and one is none. Meaning if you have one it can and will fail, if you have two and one fails you still have one.

I would recommend paracord as my first means of cordage, then something similiar diameter for backup. Just try to stick with nylon, cotton and plants can and do mold and rot in the rain.

Great start to your B.O.B. - Zippo lighters are great though in a survival situation I wouldn't want to rely on one, main reason being is that if you were to fill it with lighter fluid today, in 4 - 5 days time it would have totally evaporated and thats without using it... just the nature of the beast lol in my humble opinion you would be better off with a regular lighter and a flint n steel back up... also I'd replace the handcuffs with a gun. Excellent vid... 5*'s/thumbs-up.

Nice video. Very good start for your bugout bag. I would suggest a good water filter. (Take care and be safe). Katadyn and the Streipen are very good water filters. Remember you can only live three days without water!
