Wow. I mean WOW. "The concerns as a physician that I have for this site ...". With all due respect, this guy is a doctor. Not an expert on ecological and/or human health risk assessment as it pertains to environmental impacts. Maybe let the real experts handle this one.
that land was stolen from my family back in the 1990 s we were forced of the property they had us land locked and that land should have never been anyones but the the Hitsman farm it was the oldest farm in eastern ontario run by the same family until they forced us out i was affect 20 years ago when i was forced out of my childhood home not only does this affect me but if affects my wife 3 kids and my animals i live on north russell rd and we are on a well DUMP THE DUMP NOWWWW ..............
i live in limoges, and i go to school in russell, if this dump is built, the entire area russell and surrounding towns are going to smell like shit, I am fully againsed the dump being built, great video.
As a member of the Russell Community I would like to thank the members of the committee for taking the time to create this very informative video. Everyone has families and busy lives these days; putting together this video could not have been an easy task.
We are very lucky to have a group of people working hard on their own time to protect the safety of our environment and community for our families and children.
Very well done! The message comes out loud and clear. The main concerns are well explained. And I like the fact it's bilingual. It shows the community is united in the fight against this issue.
For those who complain about a few spelling mistakes, the format, or whatever, please get some perspective. This is not a video contest! It's a fight to protect a community! I've edited enough videos to know that countless hours have been invested in this production. Be thankful and support the cause!
Focus on the message, not the delivery methods (bilingual, reality of the area), or on the messagers. All amateurs, all residents, all committed to inform and help DUMP THE DUMP NOW! Get involved, help us make sure the RIGHT RESULT occurs.

The message is clear, however there should be one video in english and one in french.Jumping back and forth in the languages is distracting and ruins what otherwise, would have been a very professional and inspirational video.
I agree with one of the other comments....it doesn't matter where they decide to put this dump, this video is an argument for everyone.
Frankly for a community organization, this is one of the most professional videos I've seen. As far as the message, I think the traffic issue is important. This doesn't just address NIMBY, and to be honest, if you look at this site you will see that it in a shale quarry, fracturing in the rock from years of blasting, not to mention a huge aquifer. Wrong location. As far as sympathy, if risks from toxic waste doesn't engender sympathy not sure what will. Before comment, try watching the whole vid
I find the part about the garbage trucks to be a distraction from the main message - which I think is that the location of the dump will affect the water supply over a large area.
What is missing (I didn't watch to the end due to the dilution of the message) is WHERE should this dump be located Wouldn't any location create the same problem.
The NIMBY factor, in my opinion, reduces the sympathy and concern that the message might otherwise engender.
The video looses its effect bouncing from one language to another. Too long. Not sure if its primary purpose is to appease the languages or appeal against installation of the dump. The gentleman with the scarf is too bureaucratic - not effective, to much of a showman.
