now people, lets not get confused. there is a huge mix up between submarine classes. it all depends on which name you go buy. example? there are 2 russian akula classes out there. The Akula class is a ballistic missle sub and is given NATOs code name "typhoon class". The Shchuka-B class submarine is a fast attack sub and is given the NATO code name "Akula class". based on the Profile with the slim stern and slimmer conning tower, these are Shchuka-B class nuclear fast attack submarines.
