highly overstocked, fish are stressed (black stress bars).

Filtration/aeration/partials will/do help with an overstocked tank, but this is BEYOND.

Nice tank but overstocked! But obviously if your keeping that many discus happy and healthy you must be doing daily waterchanges and crazy strict about your parameters ! but heck I don't know whats up with all the flaming, congrats on actually being able to keep that many discus... I could barely keep up with 2 and I have over 8tanks of all different types of fish! What kind of filtration/ and media do you use? Biological? or Mechanical? Both?

over stocked, but the fish are doing fine. frequent water changes, plenty of filtration and aeration do the job. it's a concept that's not understood by new aquarist.

Probably overstocked. I would be doing weekly or even bi-weekly water changes.

I don't need a screen saver any more .... but i noticed a few of them had black bars...when i kept discus i knew they were stressed by water quality or something else when the lines came up ......hope they are ok now

Discus Breeder for 37 years. 1.Discus tank is just that! Focus must be on making sure that you keep your Discus happy in terms of water temp and water quality, and that you only add fish that will live under the same conditions.

2.Discus is by nature quite shy, and they do NOT like bullies!

3.Discus are slow eaters, so you'd make a mistake if you introduce fast eaters that will beat them to their food in their tank.
