@LittleMegha dont take it personal but - wrong planet Megha. face the truth. i used to be naive too. but the more you get in touch with the professional (and ambitious amateur) scene the more you learn how essential doping has become. im not blaming the athletes as they almost dont have a choice.
the exception proves the rule - innocent until proven guilty.
- growth of facial hair and other typical virilization
- bull neck
just compare pictures of those athletes before their professional career and their recent state. is there an obvious transformation (apart from the obvious through training, like more definition) or not - judge youself.
Im sure there a lots of athletes who dont dope, but _some_ just have it written all over their face (literally).
@zaphod2 I think that you are frozen and you don't have an open heart. There are only two types of people, those who say I can and those who say I can't. You can quit and we don't care, but you will always know that this is the Ironman.
@bud8883 if you knew ANYTHING about doping, youd know that the chance of getting cought when doping is almost zero if done correctly. thats why even those tested negative have most likely been doping. ask anyone in the scene knowing the facts and they will confirm.
congrats on signing up. i wont. and i dont care. i live in austria and wont come. im training 14 hrs/week and thats enough for me and i dont feel any worse if some poster in the internet claims training 519556 hours. i dont give a *
I guess there are still people in USA, who believe that Landroidis and Pharmstrong were clean. Many of the professional cheats vehemently deny they dope...until they are caught. Hell, some deny it even after they are caught and will never be punished, no matter how much evidence there is against them.
Mr. Pharmstrong's myth is busted. Cancer victims are in deep trouble if they ever rely upon a Nike, a yellow bracelet or $300 sneakers lie as a cure.
Amazing how the commentators never mentioned Macca.

@LittleMegha
haha, even chess players dope, mate. I hardly doubt there is no doping in endurance sports like triathlon. Love it, but I stay realistic....

Commonwealth games 2010: 6081 athletes, 71 countries. About half a dozen failed drugs tests (1:1000).
2008 Olympics: Michael Phelps was tested about 40 times.
Sign up to Ironman St. George UT, like I have. Let's see if you're not just all mouth?
See if you can fit in a drugs regimen without being caught. Start training now. 20 hrs / week.
