Family is it's thing. No worries! Hang with the family! What you've posted has been great! No problems! Relax, enjoy family! Looking forward to whatever comes!
Thanks for everything so far. Family is obviously more important. I'll try and fight my way through the rest of the way. Any chance that you can comment and let us know what to do after the wash on the swordfish? How do we get the stone color back on?
Thanks for guide this far and don't worry, I'm sure many of us understand how hard it is to make time for these things when everyone wants a piece of you. My two girls are just relentless at the moment.
The main things I've learned (other than technical stuff) is importance of patience, building things up in small steps and having a plan for piece. I think you've got us to the point where a look at the end result and what paint/techniques used will (hopefully) be enough to work from.
Ya gotta do what you gotta do. We've all been there! Thanks for the vids thus far, they have certainly gotten my feet wet in minis painting and I look forward to getting them done in the next coulpe months!
It is sad to hear, but Life and more importantly, Family always come first. After all, kids are only little once and then they get busy with their own life :(
And I'd like to say a very loud THANKS for giving us your time and knowledge thus far - it is appreciated :)
I certainly understand how filming can slow down the painting. It's why I don't do it as often as I'd like. Still looking forward to seeing your stuff get done.
Sad to hear that you have to slow down the vids, but if it's what you've got to do, do it. I've been painting on my own schedule, taking tips from you, the White Dwarf magazine, and other painters online to tweak them into my own paint job. Everything is finished (with paint) except the ships, cogs, and the misc objects/debris found in the ship bases.
I don't use Citadel paints that everyone uses. I use Liquitex artist paints (soft body), which I use when I'm painting on canvas or watercolor paper. I typically only use yellow, red, blue, black, & white to mix all of my colors. But, I've used Dreadfleet as an excuse to finally broaden my color palette (better consistency). Finding matches to Citadel paints has been hard. But, colors don't have to be exact, and they've come out far better than expected. Thanks for everything!
A hobby is there for fun and enjoyment which fits in with your everyday life. With all situations family comes first and everything else is secondary. Your vids have been awsome and your painting skills are superb. Best wishes to you and hope all works out for the best.
Many many thanks for the great videos and for sharing your considerable talent.
