I thought david cook's reactionh was absolutely perfect. First he's extremely respectful of david archultetta (who i love so much!!) and then he kind of breaks down in tears but first just very respectfull and applauds the other candidate naturally. Great!

What class displayed by D.C., willing to share as much of the stage with Archie as he did. I've never been much of a fan of "American Idol," but I started watching this season and stayed with it. Best of all, the Davids showed genuine respect and admiration for each other. I hope they stay friends. America spoke loudly in choosing D.C., but I can't help thinking David Archuleta is the better pure singer. I like them both and wish both every success.

David Cook was kind enough to call on David Archuleta to join him on the stage while singing his winning song. It was sincere and you rarely see that on stage when somebody wins. He was actually sharing his win to David Archuleta. It was not a competition to him anymore but a bond that was formed through this journey.

yes, cook is a great artist performer singer, experienced and sensitive enough to absorb life and sing it out. just a great artist. archu maybe he was small but maybe not, he's just singing his beautiful voice out. the little girl Miley same age but is a great sensible artist like cook. chris allen is a great artist also, question is can sweet natured archu be that great one day?

I actually love both of them :) David C. won my respect when he beckoned Archie and the top 12 over, and later on during an interview when he said "he refused to believe that he won by 12 million votes" because Archie does have great talent, they both do. I think David C. was suspision about the intergrity of the Win. i honestly think he felt that:) they both are amazing singers...and even better people

I freaking love him so much, and I am soooo happy he won. I was upset that I didnt get to see the finale- I was on a cruise and I heard some lady say "David Cook just won American Idol" so I ran screaming to my cabin, turned on the tv as fast I could, and it was right at the end and the news had come on.. but anyways... I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!

I truly believe the voting was fixed.Not really sure what their reasoning was(cook the white image)There's no way someone with this much talent the one who always received the most applause and the one who received more positive comments from the judges than any other contestant, didn't win. His emotional connection with the audience through his songs was unmatchable.I guess what's important is that he got the recognition he deserved to ultimately become a success He's truly a prodigy

I know that David Archuleta will go far too, but he deserved to win. First of all to have the same amount of talent as a 25 year old being 17, that already makes him a winner! But its not fair that people vote for cook cuz hes a good rock star and hes got the good personality and he can dance and stuff like that. David A. has a great personality too, hes just shy. Plus, David A. tried so hard for this and for David cook, it wasnt even his idea to Audtion! And last, David Cook had experience!

Archuleta has experience too. Since he was a kid, he's been joining singing competitions like Star Search and was actually suppose to come out with an album but didn't due to vocal paralysis.

I agree about the part where David Cook didn't even thought of auditioning. David A. wanted to win it. He took part with hope of winning.

But overall, i think their both equally good in their genres. David A. is more to ballads while David C. is more to rock. :)

IMHO i truly feel that its just fitting for Cookie to get the title of this year's AI... for me, HE's THE whole package! though i gotta admit, Achie's truly such a DOLL & immensely talented too; so definitely, Achie will also shine! both of them truly deserved reaching the Finals. Simon's final words were sooo TRUE about these 2 GEMS... can't wait to grab a copy of their debut CD's. thanx again! ^_^
