I would use gloves for that if I were you if you hit for power with them things, I make a 100 pound punching bag flying with no problem but 150 pounds would be a pretty good challenge. But again I hit cement walls also to strengthen my punching power which I dont feel anything...lolz
That's probably because the core is filled with something that is not as dense and heavy as sand. My core is 100 pounds of sand and it's wrapped tightly in several layers of carpet and padding. 150 pounds is a round number, but it is very close. There's no way that way 150lbs. I just bought a brand new 150 lbs bag from ATF and it's way bigger than that.

Make it as heavy as you want to. Just make bigger sand bags or wrap a few more layers of carpet around it.
