100m avalanches are the GTw range, which is for women, just make sure check beforehand, as alot of shops and bike outlets have the womens and mens mixed up.
i have a 2006 avalanche. bought it with rock shox revelation forks, xt drive train, DT swiss wheelset built onto xt hubs, easton riser bar and stem, lx disc brakes and a thud buster suspension seat post. £1500 bike all for £370.
lol, is the gt avalanche disk good for street *Sigh, i dont know* It is a mountian bike, so it can take the harsh enviroment that comes naturally to the sport. It will obviously ride on street, but if you mean as in the dicipline street riding... your best off looking at a charge blender.

I'm thinking about getting a 2008 Avalanche 1.0 disk. It's between that and the Trek 4500 which has no disk brakes.
The GT seems to get great reviews and in the BikeRadar review they said the suspension was surprisingly good even though it's not that well known.
