@davvvvo That statement isn't even true for the Tiger Mk. II... The only major production German tank that suffered from the undermotorized, big brick syndrome was the "Jadgtiger", and that did not exactly have a major production run.
Superior tanks ? Like the Panzer I, II and III, which were nothing but practise targets for French and British gunner and tankers ?
In a 1 VS 1 fight, the Panzer I to III, without any air or arty support, with their 15 to 30 mm front hull armor, were no match for the French S-35 and B1 bis. Not to mention the Matilda II, British tank which has 80 mm of armor on the front hull. And the rest is acording to that.
You forget that a Matilda was a slow tank. Very slow, while it had success early on and against Italian tanks, it had it's troubles in the North African theater, as it was difficult for them to get in distance to hurt the improved versions of the german tanks. I don't know about the french ones, so I won't comment them, but french tactics rendered them useless. You already said that too though. Generally I would agree that german advantages were on the tactical field mainly.
Besides, the Panzer I to III formed two thirds of the total Panzerwaffe, in 1940.
The only advantages of Germans soldiers were coordination, organization, transmissions and constant cooperation with supporting forces (Luftwaffe and artillerie) and the tactics fitting with those. And also the use of a 3-men turret for their tanks.
If French Army had had the same level than the Germans in those fields ... Germany would have been invaded, not France.
Damn ... young Indiana Jones met many famous persons. :-)
I'd have loved to have this kind of chance.

If the next war would have been won by superior machines, superior tanks and airplanes... Germany would have won.

"And the rest is acording to that."
I mean the rest of the Matilda 2's armor was in proportion with the thickness of the front hull.
