People don't "Riverdance", they Irish dance. Riverdance is only the name of an Irish Dance company, which dances a bit of a less formal style of Irish Dance

@cloud314231 Not really. They are used to most famous's bands tunes and a lot of song styles, so they use it as a basis. The songs are also improvised, but each style has it's own caracteristic chords and scales. It's complicated :P So they just improvise over those "rules" ^^

Go look at a Riverdance clip on Youtube. Their shoes actually have an inch or two of wood to produce a better sound. A lot of tap/character shoes have a bit of a heel.

That being said, she looked darn-tootin' good in them high heels high steppin', eh?
