Us "yanks" are determined and strong. You euro-pansies are simply quitters when the going gets tough. Rossi excepted. Stoner and Pedrosa are cry babies. Fancy candy-ass Lorenzo whines when somebody bumps him. Plus he's a proud Texan which makes him even more durable. Can't wait for the 2011 MotoGP euro-pansy smack down.
@darronpeace You yanks are fat ignorant fat cunts. Spies and Hayden excepted, they seem to be the only gentlemen americas ever produced. So more accurately your a fat ignorant cunt.
@ GoDM1N please dont confuse me for somebody that watches football, which is what you would call soccer. i call it poofball, its not a sport, lots of highly paid mincers kicking an inflated leather sphere about
It's ashame for all the yanks here that rossi and stoner beat him. Stoner is on that pig of a ducati and Rossi kicked his ass on what is basically a satellite yamaha while Spies was on that "satellite" yamaha even though it had the factory package. Suck it yanks you havent had a true champion since scwhantz and Rainey.
I hate how yanks do that, he just didnt want mladin the aussie to beat him. I was there in 2002 when aaron yates stood up, layed on the track and then once the red flag was pulled he jumped up and went back to his bike to start the race again. If you cause the red flag you shouldn't be able to ride. Mat has never done that and he never will.
How many times did he win the AMA Superbike Championship? 3 times in a row? I'm pretty sure he didn't take a dive and lay there just to get the red flag. And even if he did, who cares? Matt Mladin is an asshole!
Yeah, sure he may have tweeked his arm... but it looks to me more like he tweeked his package. And maybe got a bit winded... mostly looks like a good old nut buster.
300-400lb bike smacking you in the junk on a high side? Yeah, you're not getting up for a minute or two.
It didnt look very bad...i mean...idk anything at all about this type of stuff, but it didnt look real bad at all. i didnt see anything but him slide on the grass
I think he chopped throttle and tank banged. done it myself between 10a and b, to a lesser degree, stayed on my bike. I think the corner workers were justified to red flag. Rider on the track, they don't know how serious it is. And this section is a bit blind to oncoming riders. Had a rider go down a bit in front of me at 11 over the crest pass the bridge, bout ate the bike laying on the line but managed to swerve around thanks to the waving flags that alerted me.
@michael1703 Hes from the USA, he wouldn't fall to the ground and cover his face unless something actually hurts, unlike non-american football player :3
@nolanbowling Hey! you know Kushitani Hamamatsu Company? leather racing suit maker in Japan a pioneer Company.. ? their President is a member of International illegal drug trafficking syndicate organization. Company President Mr.Hizashi Kushitani is a damn dangerous complicated criminal..!
Skater 15153 is right . I not crazy about Spies , but you have a bike and a rider in the track . Do any remeber when Maladin almost hit the ambulance on the track , because they didn't stop the race . (if anyone has video please post) If you have a bike in the gravel trap that is in an impact area , and they can't get it moved u have to stop the race . The bike and rider is in the track . ( anybody remeber Graig Jones , or Larry Schwarbach , RIP )
ya man jonesy's accident at Brands was tragic...i honestly saw him going all the way. :( I'm glad they redflagged that one within about 10 seconds to at least give him a chance. Dangerous sport we all love. I still have to strongly disagree with the course caution...it just doesn't make sense with 2 wheeled racing with a serious crash. If it isn't serious only a yellow at the corner preceding and a waving at the incident corner is necessary.
Well I agree that it is very dangerous but I still think they need to adapt a full course caution, other wise your 100% right. This has been a very interesting conversation and I appreciate your comments.
for sure man...sorry if i came off abrasive at first. It's just a passionate issue for me since i've seen my buddies off hard etc so I take track safety pretty seriously
the Schwarzbach crash was unavoidable though.. because the wall was RIGHT NEXT to the track, after he hit it, he bounced right into traffic and was struck. A horrbile accident at a horrible (at the time) facility for motorcycle racing. I can think of a TON of instances where reds should have been thrown, but weren't. In my 10 years of racing I saw it all the time. Screaming obscenites at the officials never seemed to work. Inert objects are unaffected by it.
ummm not to call you out but this isn't nascar stupid. There are no full course cautions in superbike or any other kind of motorcycle racing. If there are bikes or bodies on the track they WILL and SHOULD red flag it. Take it from someone who has seen this shit in person as a racer. The track officials made the right call. NOW should Ben have been able to go back out and race...personally I don't think so since he crashed out and caused the red flag.
Well I don't see why you refer to NASCAR in your comment because 99% of racing has full course cautions. Now I personally don't watch bike racing much, but, if they don't have a full course caution available then they need to get with the program and adapt it.
ummm no because that would be dangerous, very dangerous. If there is an incident wher BODIES are on the track it needs to be red flagged. In other racing to bodies fly out of the cars onto the track...no i don't think so. Plus there is no infield for the bikes to just be pushed into. They can't ride around the high side of the track like in oval racing.
If a full course caution doesn't give the track officials enough time to remove the bike, then they need to lay off the Twinkies. If the rider was seriously injured, I could understand a red flag, but Ben just nailed his nads and decided to roll around on the track to get a red flag. This is why you need a full course caution, it takes the faking aspect out of the equation. Also, AMA seriously needs to make a rule stating that if you cause a red flag, you may not rejoin the race.
i agree 100% about not being able to rejoin the race. In my opinion that's your fault for causing it and no rejoin should be allowed. World superbike has a rule like that. Haga blew up a few weeks ago and tried to rejoin on the restart and was turned back to the pits. However, being someone that races actively I have to say stopping the race with a rider/bike on the track is necessary. It's very VERY dangerous for us to continue going with something/someone on the track.
if you dont know what your talking about then dont talk the bike is not on the racing line at all this shouldnt be red flagged are you nuts the racing to where ben was is on the other side of the track
are you fucking stupid? The bike was ON THE TRACK! and there was a body you dumb ass. Go back to nascar smartass
anytime there are bikes or bodies on the track PERIOD they are going to red flag. You know what happens when a bike hits another bike that is down. Carnage. Another thing, what if riders are going through 2 deep...o look now the racing is happening across the track. You're an idiot
just because ben was lying 2 inches inside the white line doesnt mean they have to red flag the race when it can easily be cleared up, do you seriously think the red flag is the only flag they have you dumb prick you clearly do not know anything about racing at all do you dumb arse, jorge fucking lorenzo high sided the to the moon and back he broke both hes ankles did they red flag that race? erm no
god im sick and tired of argueing with coach patato racers that think they know it all
umm no i actually race in WMRRA and will probably do the WERA nationals next season...what have you done? Lorenzo went waaay off the track. Both his bike and his body were like 100 feet off the track smart ass. I thnk you're the couch potato racer here. You guys seriously think that it should have just be left there. What there room for emergency crews to get on track to safely transport him? No. The race director didn't know if he was seriously injured or not. You want another kato????
One thing that's out of the video. Ben Spies is not as good as he seems because he raced against MotoGp riders and he cannot finish in top 5 or in the podium
are you that fucking retarded? you dont want to wreck on a bike going 65mph, shit hurts, hurts when you wreck at 30. btw, over the weekend at ohio, spies came in second both days, a week after getting his apendix taken out, mladin can in first both times. go team yoshi!
Yeah I think it was a stunt to. To be laying around rolling around on the ground as long as he did to just get up and get back on a bike in 5 minutes just doesn't make sense. Not to mention the overall look of the accident wasn't that bad, I don't really see what he could have hurt.
