The protein thing was correct... when amphibians began to spend more time on land than in water, they adapted to harden the exterior of thier eggs to protect them via the protein. actually the egg came first, basic evolution question. A very close ancestor to the chicken laid an egg that had an infant with a mutation that became the first chicken.

That is the core fundamental of my decision to dissolve my faith in the Roman Catholic church, yet continue to believe in a God. I have a theory. If heaven and hell are real, along with ghosts, angels and demons, as well as mythical creatures; then it is likely a parallel universe that sometimes bleeds into our own reality. Those who witness the supernatural or somehow tap into it, often become exaggerated legends and myths based on real events. Or it could all be explained away by the ancient aliens theory.

U mean, Religion vs. Science. Religion explains what is unknowable, and Science explains what is knowable. Atheism is a religion, based upon the belief that there is no god. @TheRichDarkEarth There is a difference between belief and knowledge. When one makes the assertion that something is "true", then its validity has to be tested, which is the limits of faith. But also atheism fails b/c it can't be tested empirically. And b/c it seeks to define spirituality, it can't be defined even as a philosophy. Ergo, you can't have it both ways by determining the parameters of the discussion while not even acknowledging the antithesis. That's "bipolar".

Ok, here is the thing. God isn't so much a spirit but more of an idea. The idea that there is a higher being that has created the world and everything around us. It's people who take the idea of God and turn into a dictatorship religion that make this world evil. I am an agnostic meaning I believe in the idea of a higher being but I do not believe it's this "God" figure. Just because you don't believe in "God" doesnt make you wrong.

That is the core fundamental of my decision to dissolve my faith in the Roman Catholic church, yet continue to believe in a God. I have a theory. If heaven and hell are real, along with ghosts, angels and demons, as well as mythical creatures; then it is likely a parallel universe that sometimes bleeds into our own reality. Those who witness the supernatural or somehow tap into it, often become exaggerated legends and myths based on real events. Or it could all be explained away by the ancient aliens theory.

U mean, Religion vs. Science. Religion explains what is unknowable, and Science explains what is knowable. Atheism is a religion, based upon the belief that there is no god. Remember, during the Enlightenment era, up until the mid-19th century, there were men of faith who did not see the separation of Science and Religion (typically called "Deists"). In fact, you can be a Christian humanist, agnostic or atheist, since the core belief is based upon the teachings of Christ w/o belief is God.

Belief and knowledge are two different things. Atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods - a-theism = without belief. Knowledge of a god's existence/non-existence doesn't enter into the definition and so no claims are made.

@TheRichDarkEarth There is a difference between belief and knowledge. When one makes the assertion that something is "true", then its validity has to be tested, which is the limits of faith. But also atheism fails b/c it can't be tested empirically. And b/c it seeks to define spirituality, it can't be defined even as a philosophy. Ergo, you can't have it both ways by determining the parameters of the discussion while not even acknowledging the antithesis. That's "bipolar".
