Depression is a clinical normality. Salvation doesn't keep people from succumbing to depression. Those passages of the Bible are very nice. They're comforting to a believer. A Christian, living a righteous walk with the Lord, will not become depressed. (I will make and vigorously uphold that statement) But anyone who falls, saved 'n all, can be victim to their sin and it's consequences. Seeking forgiveness doesn't negate punishment. You can com. sui. and still stay saved.
