  • Just went on the website.ordering the freerad, but noticed it went up 44 dollars more.Damn this thing is expensive.

  • @VanessaErnst1979 Expensive compared to what? Gas? Car insurance?

  • Nice tip - thanks. Maybe I'll use some marine-grade stuff.

  • Looks amazing. Nice work!

So did anyone want to change setups after experiencing the other (i.e. swap to an xtracycle or trailer?)

  • I've tried both and both have their advantages, but I'd have to say the X is my favorite method of carrying a load. The Bob has a lot of bounce and sway.

  • Thanks for the speedy reply. I've just fitted an X to an old school mountain bike (an Orange Clockwork) and am looking forward to trying it out (just waiting for a part to arrive before I can ride it).

I'm hoping that the load capacity can see me camping through the UK winter, but we'll see.

  • You're in the UK? Lacquer your snapdeck. It's not very well water proofed. But load capacity should be no problem. I measure the mass of loads I've hauled in the hundreds of pounds.

  • what's the story? how was the trip?

  • The story is we rode about 50 miles round trip into the mountains south of Bozeman Mt and did a little camping. It was stellar.

  • ha!! the comment at the end is the best!! you guys ROCK!!
