i tried downloading "polluted planet 2" and it tells me.

No suitable graphics card found.

Could not find a direct#D device that supports the XNA Framework HiDef Profile.

Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed.

Make sure the desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full screen.

Avoid running under Remote desktop or as a windows service.

Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full.

Right, I know the GHz amount, but I'm wondering whether your processor is dual-core. If so, it's nearly double that value, so it is definitely worth it to put it in with your processor info if it is.

I don't see anywhere in the info about your processor being dual-core still. Is it in there? (I read that the sim was optimized for 2 cores)

Having 2 cores makes all the difference. I've only got 1 core. :(

Anyways, it would be a good idea to put it in the info about the 2 cores.

At the start it says:

Quite obviously, the "E8400" is the CPU because i even give the clock speed i'm running it at (3.6GHz).

Typing that into google would give you the answer in a whole 10 seconds.

I just can't communicate today. What I'm saying is that in addition to the clock speed of your processor you should mention that your processor is dual-core, otherwise the info doesn't describe your processor accurately. If both cores are 3.6 GHz than your processor is similar to 7.2 GHz rather than 3.6. And I guarantee that a lot of people won't type it into Google and figure it out for themselves, they'll just assume that it's single-core until told otherwise.

Besides, anyone familiar with CPUs during the last 2 years should know that Exxxx denotes an intel core2 duo and Qxxxx a quad core.

Also, dual core doesn't mean more performance, unless the application is specifically programmed to use 2 cores.

Same with quad. I a lot of cases, a dual core will outperform a quad because the applications aren't programmed to take full advantage of having 4 cores.

Well, depends on which of his applications you're comparing it to.

If it's the one in this video, then i'd say that it looks better but it's too limited compared to oe-cake. You can only mess around with 2 substances here.

Google SPH (smoothed particle hydrodynamics). It's been around for ages, just PCs are now powerful enough to run it in a reasonable timeframe.

There should be a ton of examples out there.

I have tutorial videos about recording also. Check all my vids....

FRAPS "no sync" only works on games where the game time is dynamic (linked to framerate). Most games don't work like this.
