  • Jenna--I'm still me when alters come out but only aspects of me. If stressed, a younger me comes out with all the characteristics of a child, emotionally, etc. Anger was also very dangerous in my family of origin so angry alters tend to be totally separate from other parts of me. Anger comes out in words for me since any physical manifestation of anger by my abusers was always violent. Anger is really a helpful emotion that can bring about change so needs to be integrated.

  • i wonder when alter comes out what happens to u ?

  • DID is not all bad

  • I agree. It's a brilliant coping mechanism triggered by extreme abuse. It saves bits of the self which could otherwise be destroyed.

  • i have it and there are many pluses to it

  • What are some of your favorite pluses?

  • @slverkriss mine are the ability to hide, but there are FAR to many negatives if you ask me, we've became master class liers, and thats no plus... however; some of us are stronger or have better strong suits when it comes to things...

  • Hmm...interesting. I might have to read this...although I'm scared it might trigger bad memories.

  • It might. But it is written in short bursts for breathing space in between.

  • Thank you for your kind comments, Janet.

You are a powerful writer yourself!

  • Hi

thekidds here. tTs always so appreciate your thoughtful support. big Smiles!

This video is great! tTs have read part of your intense book. We look forward to buying and reading your book on the 28th.

Your book triggers a bit the child that we have not quite touched yet in our story,

Were sorry that your family who is suppose to love you treated you in this terrible way. "Terrible" a small inaccurate word. WE So UNDERSTAND!

  • Powerful compelling music reflects the tension between surviving or not in an abusive household. The video forshadows the compelling story of survival using the defense mechanism of Dissasociative Identity Disorder. The book is written in the first person;. I could not put it book down.
