Para mí, trata sobre un trío, además repito que lo leí en una entrevista ( no recuerdo el articulo ni si lo leí por Internet, fue hace mucho tiempo). Yo creo que a veces no hay que buscar tanto un significado si no lo tiene, a veces las cosas son más obvias de lo que parecen.

Cuando Paul dice "no hay un YO en un TRÍO" en realidad está diciendo, "COMO SUCEDE EN LOS TRÍOS, NO PUEDE HABER EGOS/INDIVIDUALIDADES". El tema de que lo entiendas ya es otra cosa... @cdgecs Digan o no "let us be free tonight" el caso es que en la cancion se usa three en threesome y no two. Nunca hablas o abordas la pregunta de quien o que representa el tres en el subtexto.
@cdgecs Efectivamente no hay un two porque la palabra es "threesome", es así como se dice en inglés "trio". La palabra "threesome" te confunde porque hay un tres. Pero es la idea que desprende la frase lo que tienes que recoger, no ese "three" literal. De todos modos, quédate con la idea que quieras de esta canción. El enlace argumenta cada estrofa y cada frase (desde la primera a la última), y calza perfectamente con la idea global y el título. Tu vienes por aquí con ideas sueltas.
@iriris No se necestia un cientifico para entender que eso viene de No I in Team, pero el hecho que haya usado Three y no two me hace pensar que detras del significado hay mas que solo la relacion entre ellos dos. Joy Division was one of the pioneers of the whole "post-punk" genre. Interpol is part of the revival of the genre. Both bands are amazing, although it's sad Interpol hasn't been able to repeat what they did with turn on the bright lights (not to say their later stuff isn't good, but not AS good). Same with Joy Division, they couldn't top what they did with Closer
@elchetos ...Joy Division didn't have any albums after Closer, so how could you say they couldn't? Unknown Pleasures was before it, which I prefer over Closer, and Closer, obviously, came second.

No hay ninguna tercera persona que tu nombras.

Para mi Banks esta diciendo literalmente que quiere un trio sexual. En el subtexto lo que esta diciendo es que ellos juntos pelean demasiado, pero el no quiere perder lo que tienen, y que la unica forma que funcione es que ella acepte sin egos que es posible que terceros hagan parte de sus vidas (con o sin sexo).

@cdgecs Efectivamente no hay un two porque la palabra es "threesome", es así como se dice en inglés "trio". La palabra "threesome" te confunde porque hay un tres. Pero es la idea que desprende la frase lo que tienes que recoger, no ese "three" literal. De todos modos, quédate con la idea que quieras de esta canción. El enlace argumenta cada estrofa y cada frase (desde la primera a la última), y calza perfectamente con la idea global y el título. Tu vienes por aquí con ideas sueltas.

Joy Division was one of the pioneers of the whole "post-punk" genre. Interpol is part of the revival of the genre. Both bands are amazing, although it's sad Interpol hasn't been able to repeat what they did with turn on the bright lights (not to say their later stuff isn't good, but not AS good). Same with Joy Division, they couldn't top what they did with Closer
