Recently I got rid of my shin splints! Nothing worked til I found 2 methods. One was kinda like 1:48 but instead pull ur toes toward urself as hard as u can for 1 minute, which strengths ur shin muscles. The other was get a rolling pan like thing, anything cylinder works and like your rolling dough, just roll it where ur shins hurt.Start off easy until ur putting an alright amount of pressure. It sucks i know but helps.Try these methods together.Trust me when I say this.IVE ACTUALLY HAD SHIN SPLINTS
when i walk for more then a half hour i get this pain in my lower shins and never paid too much attention to it, but i just got out jogging and it was getting really anoying, i think i call teh doctor lol, scary shit, shin splints
is it me or everyone one who does these exercises feel warm or hot on the shins after doing these exercises ... does it means i my shins are hot an inflamed or it normal??
i did all the exercise from 1:20 till 2:00 and now mine shin plints is gone!!! i really owe u guys PEACE OUT!!. BTW guys u have a video to heal ankle?
@Abduls100 when i got a bit pain, i am a soccer player, i had to do this exercises also when i was warming-up, it felt pain, but that one exercise @ 1:20 i did it many times. it took around 2-3 weeks when the pain vanished. But now i have to heal my ankle . =(
@SpaceAndTimeHoLLow thanx man i really appreciate the help. by the way were you able to completely heal from shin splints in 3 weeks??? so what u are trying to say is if there is a little bit pain you can move on with it and do exercises?
@Abduls100 yeah, i had to, my soccer trainer/coach said '' dont give up, ppl they run kilometers have to feel the pain of muscles bcuz its getting stronger or even larger also when having shinplints '', so doing exercises like at this video is good. try it and have patience, i didnt believe first at all, but now i am healed, and i can run fast even faster then before. but now i am having trouble with mine ankle..
@SpaceAndTimeHoLLow thanx man it means a lot.by the way i am a professional cricketer and i was selected for my district's side recently and was dropped because of shin splints.it sucked cause the next time selections will come after 8 months :((. and i wont give up i have started walking again with a bit of these exercises and now i am gonna start doing these exercises as well .i have to get fit because my whole career is on the line. By the way good luck with the ankle may it get well soon :)
I had this while jogging on incline on the treadmill, it sucks because physically i could of completed my jogging no problem.. But my shins made me stop.. Thanx for the video guys!!!
hey i have shin splints for like 3 months now, i wear inserts in my shoes all the time... i did manage to get rid of the pain several times by resting but as soon a i started playing again the pain came back on 3rd to 4th day..... now i am doing allmost all the exercises that are effective will it help? do i have to stop playing untill the pain goes or can i play with the exercises daily!!! plz a little help here. by the way i play cricket and i am a fast bowler
@Abduls100 I've had shin splints since I was young, 14-15. It was from my feet growing so fast, size 5 to size 9 mens in 2 months. I tried all rest vs. rest w/ exercise. I see best results from rest w/ exercise. Take two-three weeks rest with slower walking. Ice and take anti-inflammatory. Start with light walking on softer surfaces. Do proper stretches and take care of what you do. If they SEEM better, they prolly AREN'T better. People see results and then sprint, bad idea. Good luck.
@0uchMyKnee thanks so much for the help mate i really appreciate that. by the way have you completely got rid of the shin splints now, if so then can you plz tell me that how long did it took u to recover completely. i have rested agian for 17 18 days and the pain is almost gone( Just feels a bit when i put pressure on hins). my phsiyo has told me to start walking on soft surface 30 minutes for a week and then come back to me. since u have been effected it would be helpful if u share some things
Another really good one is keeping your back and one foot flat against a wall so that your on the very tip of your shoe. Then with the other foot push yourself up.
Would be awesome to do a video with more practical independant solutions, i.e for someone whos going into the army and therefore cannot stop training, and will not have regular access to pain meds / cant be reliant on pain meds or other aids. A pure muscle building video for the right area. A video on this website " How to cure shin splints " with a girl Jill, her method seems to be purely strengthening the muscles around the shin bone. Im trying it now.
@Moko553 Tried it mate, and no go. I figured out though that it wasn't necessarily that THAT method was wrong, its just i've known for a while my shin splints are caused by having Fallen Arches. So I did the strengthening, and my shin muscles grew noticibly, however the pain was on the right side of the bone rather than the left where the muscle was i was working.
Can't say if it will work for people with normal arches, but if you have fallen ones, waste of time. Sorry :/
all these people recommend resting but i leave for Army basic training in a month and im trying to get into the best shape possible. i dont have time for resting. :0
@xAugust10x I think that in addition to the exercises they suggest, you can continue your training and get your cardio by swimming, biking, and just general vigorous calisthenics that won't stress that area.
wow, this video reminds me of the bedtime story "Good Night Moon," except instead of trying to find the mouse, I'm constantly looking for the camera-man in the mirrors... and I liked the video xD
@kingpullback83 From my experience, when I have shin splints and I'm squatting, if I'm not completely on my heels while squatting then my shins will hurt.
