Some of those verses were revelaed right in the middle of war when the Muslims were shocked for a while with the strength of the enemies. they were confused a bit and scared a bit. Allah revealed some of em to encourage them to fight for what they know is justice. Their justice and our justice are different coz we dont live at the same flow of time.

fOr your information, each and i really mean it. Each of the verses in the Quran, when they were given to our Prophet from our God, one and only, Allah, there will be further elaboration and reasons behind each revealation.You cant translate or just understand them by translating each word or each statements literally. You should know the reasons why those verses were revealed at that time.. at that situation and among those people.
