Great Video guys ,Just wondering how do you guys go about tuning your bass to the chords you play.I can make some really good sounds with massive that just dont sound in key to the chord progressions I dont no anything about music theory maybe i should start reading up.
@chewydeejay easiest thing to do is just use the bottom notes of each chord for the bass.. Also keep the oscilators on multiples of 12 otherwise it will sound out of key..
Dear Indivision, i've been working on some projects in fl studio 9. In my most recent tracks u can't hear a piano lead due to chords and other melodies such as pad and other synths. When mastering they all just mix so u can't really separate the sounds! I did alot of eq-ing but that didn't fix the problem!! Any idea how i can separate sounds other than eq-ing???
@Illusanity It's all about messing around with volumes and getting the mixdown just right. You can't polish a turd, so mastering has not anything to do with it, work on the mixdown. :)
Damn, that's awesome, but still I wanna request a tutorial for the drum tools. I'm trying to make a drum sound different without changing the sample, but It just doensn't working, whatever I try I just fuck it up =(
I know you used to take requests - maybe not anymore - but could I request a tutorial on how to mix your drums in fl studio? Tried other tutorials but my drums don't sound any better for it.
Hea töö! Se preset massivis on teie endi oma?Kuidas siukest saundi kätte saada? Äkki viitsite teha tutooriali millalgi kuidas bassi kruttida massivis jne ,olex naiss:P.Cheers
@dnbINDIVISIONdnb Awesome mate. Love the music aye. Im a young fella and ive fallen inlove with dnb from the age of 16 and have been listening to it since. I play around with FL studio aswell after dipping my toes in with reason and ableton. All the best :D Thanks for making such quality music.
@liquidcast He studied the piano at younger age, but mostly he has gained his knowledge, like I have, learnt by doing. We basically don't have any musical background nor we don't know mu0ch about musical theory.
Thats kind of a relief for me. I always thought that because I haven't learned any instruments (except a bit of guitar) or studied music theory, I would have problems making my own music.
@3rddecade In fact, working in FL has in the end improved my understanding & skills of playing guitar ;-) The more instruments you play, the more synergy is released. Piano is the most visual though, and doesn't trick you into playing a major chord on E, but not knowing which notes it contains.
what piano did you use in nexus was it one of the presets? because i can neve rget nice pianos going and need better sounds
