wait...so this guy is *heeling n' toeing* EVERY downshift, right??!!! Just curious, because I'm wondering if it's a driver-dependent technique, OR if its just a "proper" way to transition into the corners (setup dependent??)
Clearly there is some kind of autoblip system... since he is only holding his foot on the brake pedal but throttle pedal is still moving! i've actually heard about the system, specifically in these DBR9s.
yeah, I was thinking just a straight linkage from the gear lever to the gas pedal, push the lever forward to downshift and it moves the gas pedal forward. Looked too rough to me to be electrically linked
Not sure about this, but I think under braking he's blipping the throttle with his left foot. Because with a sequencial gearbox you don't need the clutch to change gear. Maybe the left pedal is the clutch/blippedal?
Yaa i think tommy325 is right looks like for some reason the clutch pedal is connected to the gas...kinda weird but i guess it takes the strain off your ankle for heel and toe blipping..
after re-watching the video, it's pretty clear the clutch pedal has a linkage connecting it to the gas pedal, which would make perfect sense for a sequential gearbox. at 1:02 you can clearly see him not touching the gas, but the gas pedal moving in exact synchronization with the clutch pedal. tap the clutch when downshifting, blips the throttle for you to allow the seq-gearbox to smoothly engage the lower gear
@Jon124 old comment but: It think its not connected. For shifting down good a little rev up for rpm in lower gear. But whats with shifting up? Reving up while the rpm needs to be lower?
I would say its just motor movement stricking back to the pedal when he presses the clutch..
@acidwarlord You're absolutely correct, but with dogcut sequential gearboxes there is no need to use the clutch while upshifting, notice how he doesn't even lift the throttle while he shifts into a higher gear, but on downshift, he blips the clutch which connects to the gas to give it a little blip as well so its at the right rpm for the lower gear. does that make sense? and I know! It has to be the best sounding car in the world, in my book anyway

Its weird because his foot is held as if he's blipping it himself, but at the same time it looks the pedal is moving for him...
