People, please show some gratitude for the goodness of those like music guru who sacrifice their time to play some great boogie woogie piano!!!!!
I am simply LOVIN it!!!! (And the accent as well musicguru!)
(And by the way, for those beginners who can't just watch a video, and instantly know how to play boogie woogie.... playing piano does not come from osmosis... it takes practise, practise, and even more practise!)
It's not his fault your retarded and need to be spoon fed, you don't like it? Don't watch it. If you have any form of ear you should be able to pick this up no problem. Awesome video bro, you're really good!
You're good, but dear God find another way to teach. Too fast with both hands and mouth. No clues as to what to do. You look like you have something to prove, not teach. You only show that YOU can do it not HOW to do it. You never even mention what keys to hit. Sux big time.
@fdlyttle This video was made nearly 4 years ago. I trust that some of my more recent videos are a little more informative. I'd prefer it if you left constructive criticism in the future, as opposed to just plain abuse.
@fdlyttle Man boogie is not for beginners... come on he does it like two times slow if u cant figure it out it means you don't get the rythm and composition of the boogie-patterns yet.
hoyl fuck man i love you i want to learn to playy a bunch of lewis' songs !! and your my start !! could i do it on an electric / organ type style board !?
It takes a lot of practice to separate your hands because it is like your mind is doing two different things at once!
it is! Taking piano lessons is the best way to overcome this problem..I like the Adult Course "Adult Piano Adventures" by Nancy and Randall Faber. It comes with a cd to play along.
Hey, I am hooked on your videos and just subscribed! Could you make a tutorial on Great Balls Of Fire By Jerry Lee? Many people have lessons but the soul seems to be missing. Maybe the version off the movie soundtrack? I really like it!! Thanks man I love to boogie thanks to you!!
Is your piano a bit resistant and feels like a real piano when you puch down the keys or is it like a keyboard which is very easy? Which one do you prefer the most?
You are MUCH better getting a keyboard with "weighted keys". Why? Because when you learn to play on non-weighted keys and go to play a piano no sound will come out because your "touch" is too light. The difference is like learning on an electric typewriter then trying to type on a manual typewriter. The Yamaha has the BEST piano
sound of any of the keyboards. The Yamaha Portable Grand NP-30 (semi-weighted) is cheapest and best.
o my gosh i love this song i have the walk the line sound track. do you know how to play jhonny cash. because i have his original songs im only 16 but i love their music im going to get walk the line movie. i love it. thank you so much i had the beginning part i picked out by ear i have never had a piano lesson in my life but this helps so much thank you so much.
Hi Ben I play piano accordion and sing Irish ballads I find your tuition first class and will get into a bit of blues thanks to you happy new year to you regards Peter
Excellent. I have a portable DVD player on my keyboard for watching lessons right on the spot. I just wanted to let you know you're part of my lessons collection. I download your videos through keepvid, then i burn them to DVD and watch them right in front of my keyboard it's awesome!

Ben, thank you so much for posting this. Now that I've learned to play it, it sounds really great over various left hand bass lines.
I found it also sounds really great if it's played over Dm [4 beats] then over G [4 beats]
Thank you again for posting this lesson.
cheers
