@AbcChannels I think the G73 is a better buy because it has better cooling, looks better IMO (inspired by the F-117 Nighthawk), has much better battery life, and weighs only 8 lbs. I have to admit I am planning on getting their 120hz monitors for my 3D gaming from Nvidia.

@KingSamLopez I am not sure where you got that from. But to clarify, I bought the Alienware in 2004 just because I wanted a gaming computer at the time, not for any particular game. Then, in 2009 I built the computer shown in the timelapse to play GTA 4.

nice!! I did the same with mine, an alienware that someone gave me. But I spent more money than you to rebuilt it, because I bought an evga X-58 motherboard with a core i7 920 with an evga gtx 275 1792mb, 6gb ddr3 of ram and a corsair tx850w psu. So it turned out to be a realy good pc!

The moral of this story is right!!

I bought my first system in 1996 for about 2000 Deutsch Marks (about 1500 US$)... and it was CRAP!!!

I build up my second system in 2001 for about 3600 US$ on my own. One year ago I gave it to my girlfriend for photo-editing and skyping. It's still fine! The third one was made up of parts I collected from everywhere for about 700 US$ - that one was given to my mother. She does the work for her country-women's club on it and we also skype.
