I got one of these for Christmas and I have to say, these are complete shit. Even at 90$ retail, the Ice isn't worth even half of the primitive software and clunky buttons it's made of. This thing freezes all the time, won't organize files the way you like, and has no flare. Oh, and the headphones that came with the player actually began to heat up inside of my ear. Had I not discontinued use of them,I have no doubt in my mind that I would've suffered some sort of burn due to poor construction.

currently Latte ice has 8GB and 16GB available and Latte iVu has only 8GB.

If you looking for higher memory recommend Latte ice 16GB (It also has extra memory slot which iVu is not equipped with Memory expansion slot)

Functions are pretty much similar and only difference is Camera(iVu) and Expansion Memory slot(ice)

My choice is iVu.

Old version of Ice player support mini sd slots. New version (which only available 8GB, 16GB) support micro sd slots.

music can be organized by artist or genre as long as mp3 file contain the id3 tag.

software convert common video files to AVI files. There are many different typr of video files. This software is for converting different video files to AVI.

you do not need a software for moving your music from your computer.

Simple steps.

1. connect the player to computer

2. popup screen will show choose the open folder option.

3. open your folder that contain the music files.

4. choose which music by copy it

5. go back to folder that opened in step 2.

6. right click and paste

disconnect player from computer.

Look for the 2GB Ice on Amazon - I wrote a huge review there. You can get much better for your money - I just ended my one miserable year with Ice and got a Creative Zen. Did I mention this player doesn't do playlists or bookmarks, couldn't tune in even ONE radio station indoors or out (not headphone problem as Zen finds several), etc., etc? There are no firmware updates, tech support is non-existent, etc. Please don't buy one of these.

Grindking, there is no date or time display on this. In fact, there's not much of anything on this - worst music device I ever owned. It's really USB 1.0, buttons are non-responsive, it doesn't even sort tracks by alphabetical order, it claims 24fps but even its own coverter converts to 20fps because the chip can't handle it, battery life is ABYSMAL, screen is crappy 260K colors, etc,., etc. They don't even know the difference between micro and mini SD (this has MINI, but website says micro).

well maybe your speaker is broken. (water damage, or maybe cone was destroyed by poking it with stuff like a pensil tip or a needle) unplug your headphones while playing a song or have them already undone and play a song. if the speaker is not damaged in any way, it shall work.

Im about to buy one for 50 bucks. you lucked out bro. its brand new also, i also have a nice pair of Skullcandy G.I. headphones to ride along nicely with the player. i hope that it atleast had good sound quality because i need it for school. ... .... and riding my bike at the sk8 park =]

It's really a good device for such a reasonable price, I got one as x mas gift and I am so happy to have it, picture quality is great and it's kind of sturdy and rigid in handling which I like over other's as it would take the abuse of rough handling. It's worth the money

So I just received my 4GB Ice yesterday. After watching this I was concerned with how hard you would have to press the buttons and it seemed as if the person demoing had clicked the buttons without any response. It turns out the device has a safety feature that makes you press a button first to wake it up and then again to do the function. I find it useful seeing as there is no hold button. The video quality as good, but not quite as clear and fast as my iPod.
