Hey Richard I was wondering, what belt are you? I always figured you were at least a purple or brown belt, but I have a feeling that you are actually a black belt based on the depth of your knowledge.
I think what really sets these videos apart is the attention to the mechanics of each step. thanks so much for taking the time to film and post these.
I enjoy the detail of your teaching. Your explanation of why you must do certain steps to make it work, clearly illustrates what will happen if you're loose with steps, or miss steps. Keep up the good teaching.
@gunfighterdrummer Lost a lot of weight. A lot of the earlier videos were filmed when I was at a different job where I traveled all the time and all I ever ate was fast food. I've since changed jobs and I'm back down to a more natural weight around 170 now.
Not sure if you're aware, but I always put up the technique of the week a week early on my website for registered members. Registration is free and only takes a second!
@that1grappler The 69 choke is definitely another route to take.
Regarding your observation about hugging the shoulder with the left hand- perhaps I should have specified in the video. I definitely don't want to be "heavy" on that side, but rather- do more pinching of his shoulder between my arm/hand and shoulder. More to lift him on that side to prevent the roll all together.
Thanks for watching, and please check out the site.

Great work on going into detail. I like seeing those small things that help get the technique done without using much strength. Thanks.

what i like to do is first go for the 69 choke, if they roll and arent flat i transition to darce choke. got that when i was rolling once.
and heres something that i notice. when you transition to scarf hold. dont hug his shoulder with your left hand. you'll get rolled.
