If I'm asked the same question, it would take me some time to think of the answer.

But I guess I will make it a short and simple one - "To me, Merdeka means Freedom (yes, just like the girl in the video said). Free to voice out our opinion, free to practise our religions, free to walk outside without having the fear of being kidnapped and raped etc"

But one thing for sure, it doesn't include "Buy One, Free One" =P

I guess you're the first one who realised about this. Yes, I think I made a mistake there, in misinterpreting its meaning. Another one would be the word '"siot", I suppose?

However, I think it doesn't change the overall message in the video, no? You don't need to ride the motorbike recklessly carrying the national flags to celebrate the National Day, do you?

Yes, if there isn't any efforts made to relive the meaning of the word "MERDEKA", I'm sure our future generations will never understand what it means to be independent.

I'd be really glad if this video managed to give that little contribution to make us ponder a moment what Merdeka means to us.
