have anyone who totally believes in this ever been to jail, or had their liberty removed from them, oh, thats right, i did it, its just a figment of my imagination/brain waves.....
@boazandjiacinth there is a book called mans search for meaning by a man named Victor Frankl. In this book he discuses his imprisonment in a nazi concentration camp. I personally have never served time, and I cant even begin to pretend to understand the hell you were put through. But this book and the message that is within that book can help you understand.
@odensmeadhorn thanks i will get it, i appreciate a constuctive and sharing comment, as opposed to someone saying something negative, purely for the sake of making themselves feel better.. again, thanks, do you know the publisher??
@boazandjiacinth yea the publisher is -Beacon Press- this book is pretty easy to find it should be stocked in pretty much every major book store. cheers.
i dont think they use god in the sense of the way its used in religion,....... i think they use it in a scientific way to explain things we actually do understand but still find it mesmerizing
@155qwerty155 :) i am very pro science and con religion,....... but as anyone with a scientific mind, my mind is open,.... science may prove religion ridiculous but at the same time there are things in science we are baffled by,.... the simple double slit experiment for example,....... an observer,.... human consciousness is still an enigma
Really? I think a lot of religious people would agree to this statement. They can't explain what God is, yet they have an experience that there is or must be a God. That God is. I think even Einstein would agree to this?
@skeletonmansion don't try to appeal to authority, Furthemore, Einstein many times stated that he is not religious and don't believe in personal god. He was probably a pandeist, but not theist in the slightest.
Talking about "personal experiences" science many times showed that they are sometimes misleading and can simply called as delusions.
I didn't mean to appeal to any "authority". I'm just saying that even if you cannot explain what you think god "is" you may very well have a belief that god "is". That's where my reference to Einstein came from because I think he would agree.
Whether he would or not isn't important though. But I don't get what's "so pathetic" about the view point that "god is"?
Starting at about 5:30 for the duration of 1 minute is a good interpretation of what I use as my motto (We are All ONE!) with a reason why it is good to able to see this point of view.
