Why is it brilliant? What benefit do you gain? What benefit to the Irish people is there in the treaty's text?
Do you have evidence to support your use of a vulgar insult to describe treaty opponents, or is it a case of resorting to insults because of an inability to find a rational criticism?
If I called you a nodding dog, would I be wrong?
What would you not have been willing to surrender?
The quality of your analysis is so jejeune, I would be very surprised if you were a qualified lawyer. But I am, of course, willing to stand corrected on this in the interests of fairness.
First, your assertion that the successors of Heads of State do not honour legally binding guarantees entered into by their predecessors flies in the face of existing international law and practice. Secondly, as explained by Gavin Barrett, in his analysis of the guarantees, they will ultimately be transformed into protocols to one of the future Accession Treaties. As Barrett also explains, the European Court of Justice has never, in 50 years, overridden a protocol to a Treaty in its caselaw.
Sorry it's UN not WTO. It can be found on one of your sites about Lisbon Treaty. I believe it's founded by your government . Unfortunately Youtube won't let me to post link -.- i will try via private message.
Good vid, interesting presentation. The question is will people be scared into voting yes against their better judgment because they see in the mainstream media what looks like a unified front of the middle of the road parties and pundits urging them to "not make the same mistake again" versus the crazies and extremists on the no side who are trying to mislead the public- or so they are being told.
I wouldn't like to call it. These are fearful times, which will win out fear or moral indignation?
hes dead right! for example Obama the new perz of the US before being elected said "i don't ever see any solution to the conflict in Iraq so if I'm elected to be the president i promise to have all our troops out of there in the next six months" then once he was elected he said he'd think about it... that's governments for you and people in power, and to hide their lies they just say its rhetoric, well i will be voting no any way and i hope the rest of Ireland dose the same, VOTE NO TO LISBON!!
again u make a great point. the guarantees are not legally binding and cannot be unless ratified by the member states. legal = legistature! its that simple. if its not ratified its not law. period.
It's just brilliant that you gobshites lost the lisbon vote, all I can say is YES! YES! YES!

Don't you just love it when people with no legal knowledge whatsoever start engaging in the legal interpretations of European Union law?

To whom are you referring, and what do you know about their legal education?

Thank you for accepting that you were incorrect in your analysis of me.
Now what aspect of my analysis of the 'guarantees' do you believe is incorrect, and in what way?
Juvenile insults do not enlighten the viewers.

WTO secures your guarantees. You can look it up.

Since you've already looked it up, why not share your information so that we might check out your argument?
