When Blue Peter started decades ago the producers decided that, because some kids would never get to have a pet at good, they'd have them on the show instead. The viewers even get to name them.

'Blue Peter' is a very famous british kids show, its been around for years and practically every British person below their fourties will have watched it as a child. It's been around almost as long as 'Doctor Who itself' and on the show they basically give you some educational facts show you how to make things and interview kids celebrities. It's a really good show for kids I loved it growing up.

It has been on British television since 1960's with a variety of presenters.

blue peter is the name of the show, its like an institution in the uk. but its also the name of a flag that used to be flown from the top of old sailing boats, if you notice the show's logo is a ship in full sail.

i love peter and always have done, i even appeared on it carol singing when i was 8 (massive boast) ;)
