It does help alleviate some of the symptoms and it reduces the pain that cancer sufferers go through on a daily basis far better than most other drugs. It is only prevented from medicinal use due to its affiliation with recreational use, at best this is a childish decision.

Marijuana actually helps prevent restrictive lung diseases by stimulating the tissue. Cannabis has also been proven to cure many cancerous tumors.
