I love the little sound they make when they do that! Badger has a squeaky toy that she LOVES! When it squeaks she's there and next thing you know it's gone. Baby just bites it. Opossum will just look at it. Man,my ferrets have some wierd names. !)

I have a smoky colored ferret with a black and white face named princess she'll attack my feet while doing the weasel war dance she is so cute i love ferrets and i am glad i know her hiding place bc within the past week i just got her monday of this September 27 2010 and already she has stole my keys 13 times and i love how the fuzzballs always want to play and i let her run around the house i don't have a cage for her and she learned to use the litter pan the first day.

War Dance is when ferrets hop from one side to the other and they kinda make a weird sound, and they get like goosebumps. That means that they are really happy and excited :D

Uh, no.

Ferrets have long slender bodies and look limp when you pick them up that way. There's nothign wrong with picking them up like that. It doesnt hurt them.

Yeah, "weasel" is a family of animals; ferrets are weasels, the same way poodles are dogs.

EvieH - ferrets are no more weasels than badgers or otters are, they are a separate species. Poodles on the other hand are a breed of dog not a species - they still come under the classification of domestic dog : Canis lupus familiaris.

To clarify - ferrets do however belong to the same family as weasels, stoats, badgers otters etc - Mustelidae and in fact belong to the same genus as weasels - Mustela, this may be where the confusion arises and why the term "Weasel War Dance" is borrowed ;)

It's a little rubber "spikey" ball with a pressure sensor to activate the lights. Could probably get one in a toy store really cheap. They just go crazy for it!
