@AllesRiskiert Beim ersten Sprung ist eine Vorbremsung rausgeflogen und die Tragegurte waren hinter meinem Kopf verdreht. Der Schirm drehte und ich konnte nicht in den Schirm eingreifen (z.B. andere Bremse lösen).

Beim Zweiten siehst Du in der Zeitlupe, dass ich durch die Überlänge der Vorbremsung greife. So entsteht ein Knoten und die Steuerleine dieser Seite wird unbrauchbar und ich muss auf der anderen Seite gegenbremsen. Unbekannter Schirm und böhiges Wetter erleichtern die Entscheidung

@freifallspoiler  wichtig ist das nix passiert ist.. i würd glaub ich auch relativ schnell a kappe wegwerfen bevor ich zu tief bin und dann vielleicht eine aussenlandung auch noch habe..

Arent smaller canopys better to handle and they dont twist wires so much?

@softilol: Wingsuits are flown in both environments: BASE and skydiving. Skydiving rigs have reserves.

No, the smaller the canopy is, the more agressive and fast it flies. (like a plane with small wings must fly faster)

why not land on rears?

At that time I never trained rear riser landings (changed that by now) and I flew a borrowed 7cell canopy (used to 9cells) in extremely turbulent conditions.

I would still not land a main with one brake line stuck on rears without cutting that steering line.

yup, especially under a borrowed canopy one size smaller than I usually jumped that time and on a day with extreme thermal turbulences...

Seen people stall such configurations on landing - prefered a white canopy then.

the second one looks like a really high altitude, the way the ground looks i mean. that or really small wierd shaped and colored properties?

It was my first jump in a video suit and the pull sequence is different from normal and wingsuit pulls.

So I decided to pull at 4500ft - the pull took some time and I had more time to decide if I'd like to land it or not.

The student has ha a container from the Blue Side Up which is (was) a parachuting school in Texel (holland). the same were I graduated some time ago....

@Kenpo41: Like I wrote in the description I would have thought about that on my own canopy in calm winds.

But this one was a borrowed one I only had 4 jumps on and winds were extremely gusty due to thermals that day.

Why did you cut the second one away? It looked like you just had an issue with your right control line? Couldn't you have just controlled and landed it by grabbing your rear risers?
