as an industrial design student, I actually disagree. I like the asymmetry of the car and that it doesn't resemble the typical car. It's a lot less boxier than the Scion.
this car was made from and for japan citizens, only foreigners out of place would think bad of this car. thats why japan has a better and positive mindset
hey im in a huge contest to win one of these things, not spam or anything. its an actual contest. I need votes and support. check out my newest video.
I friend of mine has one in the UK that they imported from Japan. Right Hand Drive. It's seafoam green and much more boxier than the 2009 version. It turns heads everywhere has great cargo room, great gas mileage, but REALLY uncomfortable seats and NO leg room.
It needs to be so that energy used to move its ugly ass is not being wasted by drag created from poor design choice. Being aerodynamic will help in the efficiency of the engine resulting in better use of the source of energy that the engine use.
1.0 Liter engine? Omg this this is going to have a hard time going up the hill. I wouldn't recommend this to people that live in hilly areas like San Francisco. ^_^
actually i rented one of these in san francisco and it was quite peppy. tons of room and fun to drive. and the turning radius is insanely good. great for all those tight parking spots in places like san francisco ;)
I would buy this car. Take out the engine and put a 423 ci with a quad turbo in this BEAST of a car and take it to the track. I would try to keep the engine noise down and put on a muffler so quite, at high RPM you can barely hear it. OH and some fuzzy dice. :D
Apparently, the trend in the designer's department in any given auto manufacturer is to design a car based on a box-shaped car their four-year-old drew with a crayon.
who would want this crap. It's like saying, "just give me a box and i will put some wheels on it." you might as well just give me the shame and embarrassment of driving this around now so i will not be tempted to buy it.
Looks a lot like the 1st gen Scion Xb, albeit with a slightly larger engine (1.8 vs. 1.5 L). The 1st gen Xb was very practical and spacious (for passengers), although the ride was a bid harsh and the trunk space was skimpy. The Xb has since morphed to a boxy Camry, with a 2.4 L engine and mileage down in the 20s.
I too would like to see higher mpgs and Nissans haven't had the reliability of Toyota and Honda, but I'd still take a look a the cube for a practical urban commuting vehicle.
I really hate how people really think 30 mpg "IS REALLY GREAT!" It should be 100 plus mpg's on the low end of the scale by now. The technology has been around forever and to only improve over the years by a small fraction is bull shit.
This won't sell in America, too ugly and too little power. It's a damn cheap alternative to a minivan which is probably the only reason they will sell a few.
Kindy funky lookin, in a groovy way. I wonder how much wind resistance that sucker has. It doesn't look very aerodynamic, and that can really sap your gas mileage. I guess it's kool for richie folks with big families who can afford to fill the tank twice a week. Great for carpoolers, too.
good old muscle car back in time and now this. its all i have to say.
