I friend of mine has one in the UK that they imported from Japan. Right Hand Drive. It's seafoam green and much more boxier than the 2009 version. It turns heads everywhere has great cargo room, great gas mileage, but REALLY uncomfortable seats and NO leg room.

Looks a lot like the 1st gen Scion Xb, albeit with a slightly larger engine (1.8 vs. 1.5 L). The 1st gen Xb was very practical and spacious (for passengers), although the ride was a bid harsh and the trunk space was skimpy. The Xb has since morphed to a boxy Camry, with a 2.4 L engine and mileage down in the 20s.

I too would like to see higher mpgs and Nissans haven't had the reliability of Toyota and Honda, but I'd still take a look a the cube for a practical urban commuting vehicle.
