  • Gentlemen can we stop the chilish arguing and just enjoy the music..........just as much as the lads at Pegasus Bridge did hearing Lovatt and his boys coming marching up the road with his piper puffing his lungs out for all and sundry to hear. Come on lads show some decency and behave yourselves.

  • The Great Highland Bagpipe is not a musical instrument- It is a fucking weapon of war. AWE THE BEST!

  • AMAZING MUSIC !!! MERRY XMAS FROM MEXICO!

  • I'm Scots-Irish.Sept of the Clan Sinclair and possibly Clan MacLaren.

  • @kingbushwickthe33rd Clan Campbell (Father) and Clan Hamilton (Mother/Grandmother)

  • we Scots are not just awesome we are the worlds best when it comes to kindness warm as we lift our hearts and minds to whatever comes our way.The flower shall never fade as we Scots love our NATION.

  • do someone know if these tracks are from a CD? and if it's yes, where I can buy it?

    Cheers guys!

    Thank U

    Michy

  • This majorpainful guy talk about bleeding headache although I'm as what you Limeys (not ment to be offensive if the term is in fact derogatory) call a Yank. My lineage on my paternal family can be traced back to the Forbes clan and I agree with all of you who believe this schmuck would have his arse handed to him if he goes into the UK.

  • Do remember....Longshanks threw our ancestors out..or burned our ancestors where they stood..so say what ya want..yea I'm a Yank cuz I was born here, but the blood is still Davidson clan ..it explains a lot....I got the crook..nuff said

  • You Scots are so awesome!!

  • its hard to believe that i came from the fraiser clan along side simon

  • my great uncle was lord lovat

  • I think the term is Scotts...

  • I'm reminded of the scene in'The Longest Day'when Sean Connery hears the piper from Lord Lovat's Regiment and says"They Need An Irishman To Play The Pipes!!".

  • @kingbushwickthe33rd It was indeed Sean Connery;s character who said that! Which, historically, isnlt far off the mark as the original non-Pictish settlers of Scotland came from IRELAND not long after the ROMANS were forced to abandon Britain in the 3rd century CE.

  • I'm Scots-Irish.

I'm a sept of the Clan Sinclair and maybe the Clan MacLaren.

  • I found out I was 65% Scottish about a month ago and this song started playing in my head as well as a montage from Braveheart. WILLIAM WALLACE FOREVER!!

  • Yank of Scottish decent. In particular Clan Fraser. Glad to hear such a wonderful and rousing song.

  • *wants to come to the rescue of Pegasus Bridge with Lord Lovat and his commandoes*

  • @khirad - why dont you do what all good people do - if you have nothing good to say - just shut the hell up! - NO-ONE is interested in your petty comments so just back off. You are what your heart tells you! Your heart must tell you that you are an ignorant idiot I guess???

  • William Wallace was the best patriot on the world.

    FREEEEEDOM !

  • @ArbeitIstFurNichts Robert I of Scotland was the true Braveheart, it was a real term he gained from Douglas earl of StrathClyde who gave it to him.

King Robert I did more for Scotland than Wallace did in the end, but William Wallace was the guardian of Scotland before this and deserves much praise in Scotland.

However since Braveheart came out, many people, usually the Yanks, have mistakenly thought it was Wallace that had that term.

  • @majorpainful AN ENGLISHMAN TALKING ABOUT TEETH! Hmph. Shut up you English coward! I'd like to see you placed next to Wallace. Talk about getting your ass handed to ya.

  • @majorpainful dont let that big mouth get in the way of your english face. i would like to hear you say that to a socts face and see you get your ass handed to ya. and its really funny to see you talking about something that happened along time ago. hmph. dumbass... dont they teach you anything in england besides how to run your damn mouth.

  • You guys ragging on Americans do realize just how many holding Scots and Scots-Irish heritage are here, right? That some of us (ahem) are in pipe bands and we hold some of the largest Highland Games in the world? I find it disheartening to see such an attitude from kinsmen--however distant we may be. The guy who called kilts skirts was ignorant, but alas, you lot aren't much better... *sigh*

  • @Khirad That does not make you Scottish or Irish, unless you were born in these nations to at lest one parent who was also.

  • @TheFatalInstinct1 are you really that stupid? If you are born in ireland and your mum is german and your dad from Jupiter then you have the right to claim irish citizenship - it doesnt matter where your parents were born!!!

  • @Darlio13 Clearly you must be the stupid one if you think that's stupid, if you were born in Ireland then you're Irish no matter what, you plastics keep confusing citizenship with native birthright, if anybody migrated to America then they've got American citizenship but they'll never be American by nationality as they did not originate from that country by birthright.

Basically, I'm explaining how a Yank can't possibly be Scottish if they didn't come from here, as this wouldn't be their country

  • @Khirad You're nothing more than a Yank (American), you certainly are not a Scot.

Being born native in Scotland to at least one Scottish parent makes you a Scot, if you were born in Scotland to non-Scottish parents then you are a Scottish-national.

  • @TheFatalInstinct1 So by that definition a Yank is an American-national? Cuase these jackasses are not Americans and are not from America. The Americans are great people who still hold a strong love for the land even though they are forced to survive on unlivable plots that are "reserved" for them. This land should be returned to the native people, the majority of the fools here put to death, and those who hold on to native traditions of other lands allowed to return home.

  • @AzrealShadow A Yank is an American full stop, American Heritage dictionary chap.3 - Yank, a native and inhabitant of the United States. There is nothing Scottish about a Yank at all, absolutely nothing except romanticised fantastical rubbish and an urge for attention seeking.

Also what do you mean "the majority of fools put to death"?

  • @Ewolf98 ulster scots mate NO SURRENDER

  • @mooseylad lowland, campbells & that ilk

  • The only reason why Americans call Kilts Skirts is because they aint got the ball to show off there legs and feel the wind between there legs. Lmao

  • yesssss..right that is the reason, why i´m learning to play the Pipe.. :-)

  • dis is great...

  • "The Bonnie Lass of Fyvie" is the last tune.

  • he is my moms great uncle and my name is S*** fraser

  • I'm a Canadian and a Wallace by decent and i can just paint a picture in my head William Wallace playing this across the battlefield. Long live Scotland the brave

  • @majorpainful fuck you ya prick, id like to see your country come up with anything better without theaving it off some other bastard LOL

  • @majorpainful

    iiiiit's trollan time!

  • @majorpainful

Im about a quarter English, rest Scottish, i Live in England :(, but seriously, Males wear kilts not skirts, educate yourself you thick twat, and those "stupid pipes" just so happen to be one of the single best fucking instruments on this earth, what does your country have for heritage and tradition, McDonalds??. And the English dont occupy Scotland, Scotland are part of the United Kingdom by choice, they can separate from the United Kingdom by choice, think before posting.

  • @TheWickentower Whoever said that Kilts are skirts is a doss cunt! Fucking yanks!

  • @TheBubba68 Aye man, too right

  • @TheWickentower Although, I agree with your kilts argument (I wear one myself), and your bagpipes argument; the Scots didn't have too much of a choice to join England. For the Scots, it would have either been to sign the treaty and be annexed, or face a possible invasion from the English that they wouldn't have been able to win.

  • @kickassclarke

Aye fair point my friend, but at least they have the choice to separate now, whether they take it or not is another matter entirely, and with how much they are subsidized by the UK as a whole, it would be harder times but I believe the Scottish can overcome it, there is no reason why they can't separate amicably now that the Monarchy has fuck all to say in matters.

  • @TheWickentower Agreed on that point. It would be a pretty badass military to build too. Kilts should be their official military dress.

  • @majorpainful OI WANKER the scots soldiers are saving yoor yank arse n afghanistan n iraq so shut the fuk up.... america has no history u plank

  • hold until relieved . . .

  • Another fraser here on my mom's side...glad to be a scot!

  • I am proud everyday of my scottish herritage!

  • @ zzahier tell us a story M8 o that song! PLEASE! Which band played that? and when? Hope the were a learned from Edinburgh

  • OH LORD! Fanstatic ! Pure Scots! ♥ ♥

  • i learned just one thing from a scottish guy: do NEVER give a scottish man an oportunity fpr vengance or revanche... XD

    love the scottish folk songs..

  • Douglas clan reporting in! I approve of this video! Proud to be Scottish!!!!

  • @sfkillerx Wallace at yer side m8 ..Aye we all shuld be.. so very proud.. long live Scotland

  • @sfkillerx You're a Yank, born American makes you a Yankee.

If you were born and bred in Scotland to at least one Scottish parent then you'd be Scottish.

  • @TheFatalInstinct1 You're concentrated on birthplace which is irrelevant. I'm talking the genetic legacy of the Gaels, of which I am a perfect specimen of, you lowly genetic inferior of mine, you.

  • @sfkillerx You sound like a racist fuckin dirty yankee scum bag cunt "you lowly genetic inferior"? Get tae fuck ya fat dumb Yank bastard Plastic Paddie, you'll never be Scottish in a million years, born and bred Scottish to at least one Scottish parent is enough to make you Scottish.

You're a Yank, vastly far culturally different to a Scotsman, and I don't want Yank behaviour, attitude traits and Yankee accents polluting Scotland.

You're not native to Scotland, hence you're no Scot.

  • @sfkillerx And Gaels are not a people, it's a culture, particularly a cultural in language terms, an ancient near dead language.

Yanks are the most mixed mutt raced people in the world, it's what makes you American, or Yankee or Yank in other words.

    Don't dare hi-jack the Scots.

    Typical dumb Yank cunt.

  • @TheFatalInstinct1 - i just wish one day that i as genetically perfect as all you biggotted biased in breds!! who the hell are you to tell someone who they are or what they feel? Yes you are born into a country but that doesnt imprison your heart - ask the English born Pakistanis who they support in the cricket world cup? As the Texas/Arizona born latin americans who they support in the soccer world cup! Jesus get off that high horse and let people live! and express! and just shut the hell up!!!

  • @Darlio13 You must have Pakistani ancestry then, if you were born in England then you are an English national, although if you don't have any ancestry from England then you'd stay national, I think you should be directing your comments to the Yanks here (Americans) who think that far distant ancestry is what makes people who they are rather than where they originated themselves.

There has to be a balance between the two, as foreigners who come in and force their culture here are not native then.

  • @sfkillerx Also birth place is 100% relevant! It's what makes you who you are, your native naturalised birth place of origin, you're shaped by where you were born and bred.

That's why you Yankees have more annoying accents and punch-worthy attitudes, your native nation is America - where YOU originated, and were shaped culturally.

  • There's one punk that hates this vid ? Oh dear ... Damn ye ta hell, ye darn idiot !!

  • @Briselance pmsl... AV IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐ AV IT!!!!!!! ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

  • Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm an American and a Fraser by descent, and this is the first time I have heard Lovat's Lament--thank you so very much! (and we're terribly proud of our Scots heritage; we buried my father, George Frazier Wood, in his Red Fraser tie.)

  • Dude! Me too!

I've never heard this song played by a whole band, I've only played it by myself on the pipes. But the Fraser connection makes me proud.

  • @welthawood AS A CANADIAN COMMONWELTHER i say God save the Queen thank God for Britain and pray for uncle George who did his part in in Italy
