I just used a stink bomb once or twice on the Herald... seemed like the Templars got close but wanted to avoid the Herald at that point. XD Knives work great too.

Datura works much better than smoke. keep close to the herald so no cilvians get hurt. then just use throwing knives

I was trying to see what to do for this mission and figured out mine was glitching. My apprentice didn't do anything and, after seeing this video, I faced about 3 times as many waves of attackers. After going through many, many waves of attackers, some additional tips: Use throwing knives. They are very quick and since they guys have no armor it kills them instantly. Datura poison bombs are a good last ditch effort, but you have to be careful of killing civilians as it can't desynchronize you.

hey guys! i managed to finish this mission and i thought i'd add on to what JallenMeodia posted: it helps to use a datura bomb at the start, medium gunpowder. time it so that all three templars get killed at one shot, then use the caltrops on the remaining ones. hope this helps!

A mixture of caltrop bombs and throwing knives will help you knock this mission off in no time. :)

i found pyrite coin bomb works well, the civilians grab the templars. Also i find hitting the Herald myself and knocking him to the ground works quite well when templars get close (evidently only damage from templars fails the bonus)

Yup i did use the smoke bomb but you need to use it quickly because the templars are fast.

I did full synch just use some smoke bombs to blind the guards and use the eagle vision to kill them

I got so frustrated with this mission. This is the hardest one. I have watched other videos and it seems either Caltrops or Tripwires work best.

This was actually the last Master Assassin mission I had to get 100% sync on. I was so relieved when I finally got it. Personally, Tripwires places right infront of the herald with a large smoke screen work better than Caltrops. Also, use throwing knives instead of hidden blade (quickest) as these guys are weak (no armor).

I also used Caltrop bombs. However before that I knocked the herald to the corner, then I throw knives at the incoming templars. Took me a few tries, but it worked :D

Dude,It is so easy equip 3 smoke,caltrop e.t.c and have 10 bullets,when the waves end wait for the closes templar then throw the bomb and quickly equip pistol and sword so that everytime you finish of your first target you automatically aim at the second and kill

After like, 30 times I got through the first part... when I moved to distract the templar, the apprentice jumped off the roof to kill him, but he landed on the other roof and got stuck there, I had to start all over again. This game is so glitchy.

you can also use stink bombs, just throw them and they will stop in their tracks, its one way this pretty much useless bomb can be used

I used smoke and I tried this mission SO many times and listen the last one I did succed a templar actually did hit him and took HALF of his health but I still made it ^^

Smoke bombs don't work as well and my assassins is a woman with a battleaxe who is no help at all :(
