I respect your opinion and I somewhat agree with you (I am also a vegetarian) however, the manner in which you presented your argument completely nullifies your credibility. I understand what you were trying to accomplish, why, and that at times you were being satirical, but I think that this video is extreme and counter productive to your cause.

I cried. Im on this diet that involves meat, when i lose my remaining 30 pounds, im becoming a vegetarian. I was vegan for 6 days, and i just did not know what to do. Now i know more and ill be stronger and stick with it. Thanks onison.

First off, being a vegetarian doesn't automatically make you better than someone who eats meat. Think about it this way. When we omnivorous persons eat meat, it's already dead. When you eat a carrot, or an apple, or a tomato, or any type of uncooked vegetable, you're eating it alive. Cognizant of it's existence or not, you're eating a living thing. Cows are pretty damn stupid anyway. They'll face the wind in a snowstorm, get their nostrils clogged, and die of suffocation. They're ~that~ stupid.

Um...Here's the thing...Cows don't have a grasp on what life is. They can't love it like us humans do. Cows are actually one of the dumbest animals on the planet. @JunkGathere And as for obesity, go watch a video here on youtube entitled "Sugar: The Bitter Truth", it's a lengthy talk on the negative effects sugar has on health when consumed in huge quantities (as it is done in this modern day) which mainly lead to obesity. It's funny how once the lipid hypothesis was put forward and fat removed from food, only to be replaced by sugar, obesity rates have been rising more than ever before. Don't you think?
@anonyturtlewat Regarding B12 you're correct, you can only obtain B12 though meat or egg. This can easily be solved with a vitamin pill. :) If you look up the facts, you'll notice that BIOLOGICALLY the human body aren't build to eat meat; we only ate meat to survive. It's a straight up lie to tell that we eat meat to survive in 2011.
@JunkGathere We have a requirement for B12 for healthy brain functioning, therefore the human body has required meat through the years to stay healthy, so you can't say we weren't built to eat meat. Though I'm not going to deny that the need to eat meat has been greatly diminished (for survival/welfare purposes) with the synthesis of artificial vitamins. It's also a lie to say we need any sort of grain/vegetable to survive. The human body can use either diet and each have their own benefits.
@anonyturtlewat I know the about sugar and obesity, but i will also like to point out that vegans don't eat most candy, due to gelatin and milk. Being a vegan myself I know that it's extremely difficult for a vegan to get fat even if they tried to. The only kind of chocolate you can eat if 70%+. There's milk in most flavors (BBQ, sour cream and onion, and so on) on chips. The only fruit i eat that contains much fat is avocado, which isn't that bad.

I'm also on a diet of 95% animal produce and I'm healthier than ever, I'm eating over 140g of fat a day and I am in fact losing weight while retaining lean body mass... It's extremely hard to get fat on either extreme of dieting you take. Obesity is found in people who eat in the mid-ground with no concern for the quality of food they're eating (i.e. processed foods and foods packed with corn syrup)

I have never in my life considered being a vegetarian until last weekend. Last weekend on of my beloved rabbits, Delilah died and while I was mourning her loss a "friend" said to cook her instead of bury her when I screamed at her she said, no Amanda, I am serious. That moment was when I realized that I never, ever want to eat meat again. I know this is a long road but I am willing to be on it, if I love my pets then I need to respect their brethren.

If it wasn't for our ancestors being more carnivores than herbivores, we would not have such a large brain compared to other animals (due to the high volume of protein in meat), then maybe, just maybe, those animals who were carnivores may have evolved into what we are now, and started to produce us for the same purpose as we do cows. Plants and vegetables were also alive at one point. Just because they can't make noises or smell or see, doesn't mean they weren't alive. One word, Photosynthesis.

First off, being a vegetarian doesn't automatically make you better than someone who eats meat. Think about it this way. When we omnivorous persons eat meat, it's already dead. When you eat a carrot, or an apple, or a tomato, or any type of uncooked vegetable, you're eating it alive. Cognizant of it's existence or not, you're eating a living thing. Cows are pretty damn stupid anyway. They'll face the wind in a snowstorm, get their nostrils clogged, and die of suffocation. They're ~that~ stupid.

This can easily be solved with a vitamin pill. :) If you look up the facts, you'll notice that BIOLOGICALLY the human body aren't build to eat meat; we only ate meat to survive. Though I'm not going to deny that the need to eat meat has been greatly diminished (for survival/welfare purposes) with the synthesis of artificial vitamins. It's also a lie to say we need any sort of grain/vegetable to survive. The human body can use either diet and each have their own benefits.

@anonyturtlewat I know the about sugar and obesity, but i will also like to point out that vegans don't eat most candy, due to gelatin and milk. Being a vegan myself I know that it's extremely difficult for a vegan to get fat even if they tried to. The only kind of chocolate you can eat if 70%+. There's milk in most flavors (BBQ, sour cream and onion, and so on) on chips. The only fruit i eat that contains much fat is avocado, which isn't that bad.

I'm also on a diet of 95% animal produce and I'm healthier than ever, I'm eating over 140g of fat a day and I am in fact losing weight while retaining lean body mass... It's extremely hard to get fat on either extreme of dieting you take. Obesity is found in people who eat in the mid-ground with no concern for the quality of food they're eating (i.e. processed foods and foods packed with corn syrup)

I have never in my life considered being a vegetarian until last weekend. Last weekend on of my beloved rabbits, Delilah died and while I was mourning her loss a "friend" said to cook her instead of bury her when I screamed at her she said, no Amanda, I am serious. They do not know they exist, they are not even concerned when one of their young go missing. They have no emotions, and cannot think for themselves. The maternal instinct is there on only a basic level, allowing their offspring to suckle. They've been bred that way for hundreds of years.

I see some points there, but the cannibalism vs eating cow thing does have a low point. If you get convicted of killing a human vs killing a cow, the sentence on killing a human would be higher, why? Because humans have a higher level of sentience. If you were somehow forced to kill either a human or a goldfish, i think most people would choose the fish.

all though you do have some good points id have to disagree with you when you said that eating cows is like eating humans. no one has ever been in a cows mined maybe they don't think about life and the just go with the motions and don't are not affectionate to there families. after spending time living on a farm and having that in my family i did notes that ALL of the animals deaths were fast and painless

If it wasn't for our ancestors being more carnivores than herbivores, we would not have such a large brain compared to other animals (due to the high volume of protein in meat), then maybe, just maybe, those animals who were carnivores may have evolved into what we are now, and started to produce us for the same purpose as we do cows. Plants and vegetables were also alive at one point. Just because they can't make noises or smell or see, doesn't mean they weren't alive. One word, Photosynthesis.

I don't understand why some fans would hate him for this. I know that he's expressing his opinions a little roughly, but he's right. We don't need meat, there is a plant substitute for any of the vitamins that it contains. The main reason people eat it is because they find it tasty and don't have the willpower to stop. We became the top predator in the world because of our higher brain functions. We've hunted species to extinction due to our need for meat.
