I love his concerts. I went to his last one in Sydney and I stood up to dance (as you do!) and the people behind me were getting annoyed. I was MORE annoyed that everyone in my section was acting like they were in Japan! Luckily Keith saw how reserved everyone was being and he pretended that he was singing his last song and got everyone to stand up. Then he kept going with the concert and no one sat back down.

I just saw him last night and he didnt yell at security but he should have. this one lady kep coming up to me telling me that the people behind me were shorter. like, what the fuck do you want me to do?! shrink?? shut up old hag. and when he went in the middle of the floor, we started standing on chairs to see him better and this guy was yelling at everyone to get off. i wanted to punch them, they almost ruined the concert for me, but nothing really ruins keith for me. I just saw him on Friday night. He actually warned security beforehand haha. After his first couple of songs he basically said, "Listen, these people all paid to come here and enjoy themselves. Let them have fun!" Maybe he was tired of stopping mid-song haha! I was a section away from the stage and from what I could tell, security listened to him. I had a great time! Keith is an amazing performer. Anyone who has a ticket for a future show will definitely have a blast :)

I'm srry I was security, granted a lot of guards and ushers can be dicks and a lot of the rules we had to enforce were bullshit but we're weren't the ones making the rules. Management makes the rules and security enforces them.

Of course it's so much easier to just yell at the security guards, especially when you're drunk or just trying to impress your fans. I know Keith Urban worked a lot of lower end jobs when he was trying to become a performer, obviously a security guard wasn't one of them.

I applaud any entertainer who will go one on one with security guards. In some arenas and stadiums security seems to think they have the power of law enforcement. Keith wants every fan in the venue to be able to hear and see the performance. If the artist says let them come as close as they want then security needs to back off. I personally can't afford front row & center and am looking forward to Dallas next month. :)

Keith told them numerous times at the charlotte show to let ppl stand in their chairs, its hard to see at the back of floor seats, especially if you have kids.. the only people that were allowed at the small stage at the back were people with floor seats, SO if you did not have floor seats you couldnt go down there anyways. Personally, I lost a lot of respect for him when he did that. We could see him really good, and then when everyone rushed up, my daughter could not see him anymore. We were basically pushed out of our seats for all the jerks that came rushing up. First of all, he was on the stage at the back of the arena when he did this. He was not on the main stage. I paid the same amount for my seats as almost everyone else there. With the exception of two sections in the very top of the arena, and the very last upper section in the back of the arena, all seats were priced at $79.50. I did not have the opportunity to go up there with everyone else because my daughter is handicapped and her we would not have been able to get her wheelchair closer.
