My 20YO daughter recently enrolled at business school & is enjoying it, but I was disturbed by one lecture series.

Apparently a feminist lecturer praised PORN STARS like Jenna Jameson & Sasha Gray, for leading ‘empowered business lives’, using their skills to create great ‘personal brands’, not reliant on corporations. The whole tone was positive, as if these people were fantastic role models.

As a Christian, I am troubled- I want her to succeed in life, but not at the cost of her soul…

An ex-Marine once told me he cried at the opening scene of "An Officer and a Gentlemen". I can certainly relate to that having watched this video and reflected back on my time at HBS. And, boy, I was certainly not as mature as these students. No wonder they make more then me when they get out.

Brilliant video...I remember my days at Warwick Business School in the UK...those case study sessions and group work were amazing...I miss those days...so many different ideas, difference of opinion:) ... it was an enriching experience...I certainly can imagine what the HBS students/alumni feels like after all its the best school of the world! Once again, amazing video...I wish every b school could make this kind of video instead making a stupid marketing campaign...

Aahhhh brings back memories when I was first exposed to this at the Marshall School of Business as an undergrad at USC. I still remember the "5 forces," Porter,the case of RJR Nabisco etc.

Further, it all became more intense at HBS as an MBA candidate years later. Best of luck to everyone here - to those that appreciate such valuable experiences. Best regards!

the problem I have with business school students is that they come to their new jobs, and say, "this answer is the way we did it in school, so this answer is the way we should do it at work"

The problem with that mindset is that, at school nobody is saying no to your textbooks or case study answers, but at work, the competition, the stakeholders, and everybody is saying Hell No with money on the line.

Business school students need to learn how to win with plan b, with plan c, with plan z.

I came across Harvard, Standord MBA brochure in 1976 and as engineer,i had this notion what am going to learn anything new if i was a 9 year old running my late father'e business, he was away leaving me to run the shop. He had every confident in me.This lead me to conclude being an engineer that only course of an MBA in needed to master to get an MBA was accounting and fianance at master of engineeing degree level, books by professors at HBS Accounting and Stanford Financial Managment ,1977

Many CEOs of major corporations have not passed through Harvard
