If there was no God or Religion what would we have? Each other. If there was no God or Religion what would we have? Each other. We as humans have created many of our problems and we have the ability to solve them.By working together and accepting each other, we will create peace on earth. We do not need any a Pope, priest, rabbi minister, mullah or any other holy person to tell us right from wrong. We can figure it out for ourselves. It's very relevant. These are no more random occurrences than any other birth, yet you think that this specific god has spoken to you or chose you. Even if that's the case, 99% of people on this planet, worship a certain god because of where they were born. If I was born in India, then there's a likelihood I would be Hindu. In this debate, Hitchens just goes back and forth and doesn't present a concrete argument; he's basically swatting flies wherever he finds them in his head. Even Richard Dawkins, in his book "The God Delusion", he presents arguments infested with fallacies. For example, in the first numerous pages he is simply appealing to authority by giving an argument on why the famous scientists of modern times were atheist.

Then you must look to other aspects of his life to determine whether or not he was holy or divine. He was successful in military, secular, religious, etc. areas. How did he achieve everything he did without divine inspiration? Christianity teaches one to stone disobedient kids to death. Jews say it's OK to kill, because they are Chosen.

Youtube has a video that clearly shows a scholar saying he had sex with a year old girl Do you not find this disturbing? Humans change the standard of morals all the time, but this does not make it right. You will always find anomalies in the human body, i.g a girl who gets her menstruation at 9 years of age or later 18 years of age. But consider this, we do know now that girls today get into puberty earlier because of the chemistry realesed into nature by humans.A girl of 9 years is not an adult.
