  • Not sure if it was a deliberate attempt to play on words or just a genuine mistake, but the last word should be life, not live.

  • Now i need help..

I want to broadcast to Twitch.TV but I do not know which video capture card that I will buy. One problem is that I live in Portugal.

I'm torn between HD Live Gamer, Game Broadcaster AVerTV USB HD and HD DVR (last choice).

  • I know what I'm buying in April :)

  • Is there anything on an official release date or anything? i would like to get this, but it really all depends on the release date for me

  • @wbertman Thanks for your interest in AVerMedia product. The Live Gamer HD is expected to be launched in April. When it go on market, we will tell everyone at first time.

  • Also, is your software capable of capturing uncompressed video and writing to disk (like Fraps)?

  • @OGrdnr Thanks for your interest in AVerMedia product. The Live Gamer HD adopts H.264 hardware encoder, there is no way to record in uncompressed format.

  • Will your product affect monitor display latency, considering how you require the signal to be sent through the card, then to the monitor?

  • @OGrdnr The Live Gamer HD supports pass-thru functions. That means you can play games usually in real-time and record your gameplay in the background. Thanks!

  • Will this be compatible with PCI-E x1 and/or x4? Or will it require x8/x16?

  • @CWolfCW It is designed with PCI-E x1 slot but can be used/compatible in x4, x8 and x16 slot.

  • How does graphics card and the live gamer HD work in the same computer?

  • @MitegaFilmx Live Gamer HD will capture all video signal ouput from graphics card and also pass the signal to your monitor for display at the same time.

  • Will this work with Xsplit?

  • @muruburu Yes. It will be supported.

  • Any way to combine this with a web camera like most people stream on Twitch with?

  • @GrumpGamer There are two ways for this application: 1) Put the web camera screen on the desktop and stream the desktop directly 2) Use XSplit

  • how much will this be in the US?

  • @jkwon1561 Thanks for asking. The AVerMedia Live Gamer HD will go on market in April and the price will be around $219 in US.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Are you guys doing any pre-order kind of thing? I would like to be able to order this and have it come the day of release.

  • @iixReMiXNinJa Thanks for your interest in AVerMedia product. The Live Gamer HD is expected to be launched in April. When it can be pre-ordered, we will tell everyone at first time.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Also are you guys still testing it? Is it still in R&D, or is it soon going to go into production?

  • @iixReMiXNinJa Thanks for your interest in AVerMedia product. The Live Gamer HD will go into production soon. And it will go on market in April. Thanks!

  • will there be a way to connect the PS3 to this? I don't see a component adapter.

  • @jkwon1561 Thanks for asking. The Live Gamer HD just HDMI/DVI input, no component. You can refer our another product, Game Broadcaster HD(C127). You can connect your PS3 to Game Broadcaster HD via the Component Cable and the Component to VGA Cable.

  • I have a question:

What happens if you plug the hdmi input from the capture card into your ps3 ?

  • @SirRobinII Thanks for asking. Capturing HD content with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is not supported.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone

so without HDCP support you can't capture ?

  • @SirRobinII Thanks for asking. The Live Gamer HD just HDMI/DVI input, can't record PS3. You can refer our another product, Game Broadcaster HD(C127). You can connect your PS3 to Game Broadcaster HD via the Component Cable and the Component to VGA Cable.

  • Great work with these 3 great products. Sent a message, hopefully you'll check it out as I had a few questions to ask regarding this upcoming product. Thanks

  • rdy to buy... Ukraine plz report

  • will i have input lag with this?can i use headset (headphone+ mic) while gaming and still record?and if someone uses usb audio devices?

  • @nakaroxx Thanks for asking. 1.The Live Gamer HD has a HDMI output on the board to pass thru the live gameplay. That means, you can play games without any lag and record the in-game scenes in the background. 2. Yes, you can use usb audio devices.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone but still recording audio?will it affect sound quality?what if someone uses an amplifier for headphones?

  • you can always get a splitter if there is lag. most cable boxes and consoles have copy protection(except current xbox) which means you cant record it like you cant record a dvd player hooked to a vhs. im sure the upcoming consoles are going to have that protection too. anyways im probably going to get it becuase igame a lot on my pc and fraps/bandicam suck compared to real pvr recording. i actually tried hooking my pc up to my pvr but couldnt because pc siginals are digital n convert no work!

  • 1:00 Bullshit, every single game will use almost 100% of processor's resources. I'm not saying that this card isn't working though.

  • @alien102471

Your crazy if you think every game will use 100% of your CPU,that or you have a shity CPU.

  • Ok, I understand that with higher resolution than 1920x1080 or with 120 Hz I'll have problems with recording...I guess there won't be any 3D support, what a pity nowadays, when youtube supports 3D videos, but what I really don't like is no support for 5.1 audio. I find surround sound quite important ingame.

  • @NetAndyCz Thank for suggestion. Due to HW cost and price consideration, we would not be able to support 3D capture and 5.1 audio. We will consider this spec in next version soon.

  • I dont like the idea of video signal going throught your card before it goes to display? what is the delay? and still i major issue is those 1080/60 when many ppl use 120 Hz LCDs ... is it possible to use two outputs of GFx, one streaming to screen and the other one sending same information to the card?

  • It's really too bad that you can't record mic audio unless it's going to the headset. This is going to create a big enough complication for me that I will end up not purchasing the product. Sorry.

  • Will you be stocking these C985's in UK available sites on launch?

The C127 doesn't even seem available on amazon.co.uk,or via any of your listed sellers on the website and its launched for a bit now.

  • @DarowPlays Thanks for asking. The AVerMedia Live Gamer HD will go on market in April. Thanks

  • You guys should demo a clip and put it up for download. I can't see how well the hardware encoder is though from previous experiences, the file size is large and the video quality is poor.

  • Where can i buy the Game Broadcaster HD or the Live Gamer HD in germany? i rly want to have one of these capture cards

  • @96Alastor Thanks for your interest in AVermedia product. The Game Broadcaster HD will be available on Amazon.de soon. Thanks!

  • What is the maximum bitrate, and how large are recorded files, set to the highest possible settings?

  • @Odeiux Thanks for asking. The max. bitrate is 12MB/s. The file size depends on the time and format you set.

  • Whats the difference between this card and the C127?

With which card I can stream on livestreaming sites at 1080p@60 fps ?

  • @Tezzor Thanks for asking. Both Live Gamer HD (C985) and Game Broadcaster HD (C127) can do live streaming. However, if you want to play and stream games on the same machine, I’d suggest you choose the Live Gamer HD. If you pursue HD live streaming and do not care to set up another PC for this task, I’d recommend you use the Game Broadcaster HD.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Sorry one more question haha. With the included recording software does the audio from the 3.5mm input get added to the audio from the HDMI input? Because if it doesn't you guys should reallllllllly have an option in the software that would allow for that 3.5mm input to be recorded on a separate audio channel in the video file(ex 3.1 audio), or give the option to record the 3.5mm audio to a separate audio file. This would save so much time in post and also save a lot of CPU.

  • @Flyr37 Thanks for asking. The audio input on Live Gamer HD (C985) is designed for recording the audio from your sound card. If you want to record your voice from the microphone in the same time, you should plug in your microphone to your sound card.

If you’re using Live Gamer HD (C985) to record gameplay from your PC, then the HDMI cable is connected to your graphics card and C985.

  • In this case, there will be no audio recorded if the 3.5mm audio cable is not connected to your sound card and C985. The video and audio will be recorded as a single file. As the Live Gamer HD is in charge of the encoding task, the CPU usage will not be a problem.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Does the 3.5mm audio input function as a regular audio input for windows? For example, while I'm streaming or recording can I use the mic that is plugged into the C985 for talking on skype or ventrilo?

  • Stupid chain mail....

Anywho, you guys are definitely worth investing into. Great quality video and inexpensive, what more can you ask for?

  • will this work for PS3? does it have HDCP?

  • @rteruyas Thanks for asking. The Live Gamer HD can’t record PS3, Because Capturing HD content with HDCP is not supported.

  • can't wait :D

  • Can this work with Xbox 360?

  • @iPojHD Yes. It can record Xbox 360 by HDMI input.

  • Can you pre-order now?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA my pc doesn't let me watch videos on youtube in 1080p

  • COOL!!!

  • Any idea how much this will cost?

  • @Setripuu Thanks for your interest in AVerMedia product. The price will be around $219.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone Thanks for making this kind of products :) And thank you for a fast answer! <3

  • This is so cool! I love the background music!

  • i want i want iwant iwant I NEED!!!!!

  • Will this support 1080p60p recording? Priced under $400?

  • @Xyxyll Thanks for your interest in AVerMedia product. It can record 1080p60 gameplay, but the maximum recording quality is 1080p30. The price will be around $219.

  • @AVerMediaGamerZone So, are you saying it can record at 60fps? Though, at 60 it doesn't look as good as if it were capturing 30fps? [ All in 1080p of course ;) ]

  • @Flyr37 Thanks for asking. Game Broadcaster HD can accept 1080p@60fps video, but the maximum capture quality is 1080p@30fps. Thanks!

  • What day in april?

  • i want

  • Wait, how do we stream the xbox??

  • I want the HD Broadcaster, but I need to wait until my birthday (In December), so I have to wait :(

  • Will be waiting

  • First! ;p
